Saying Glamour bard is just for running away wildly misunderstands the subclass. Most of the abilities that were complained about are incredible for staying IN combat, and the one that isn’t for combat is pretty fantastic in social situations

If you wanna lean more into the UI Sign earlier in the game, bump INT up to 13 so you can multi-class into wizard, and take blade singer. Then coordinate with your DM to see if they will give you a Headband of Intellect to get your intelligence to 19. The only spell you really need will be shield. If you want to keep Empty Body, then just dip 2 levels in for Bladesong wizard, as that will give you a bonus to your AC equal to your Intelligence modifier. Bladesong specifies that it grants you a BONUS to your AC, and doesn't function the same was as Unarmored defense where it recalculates your AC to use your WIS (Monk) or CON (Barbarian). So you get a plus 4 to your AC. If you are chill with losing Empty Body, then take 4 levels into Wizard so you have more spell slots to cast Blur and Shield with.

How about a Sung Jin Woo DnD Version ? The DM is SJW himself with the premise of the player is the shadow soilder start from the weakest form then slowly level up and get other form base on the bonus stats that the player choose. a Simple session will go with the DM as SJW either go dungeon and as us to fight or have us protect another Hunter or a scout mission that we have to do stealth and such. Eventually, we will have a mechanic fight where we aid Jinwoo in climbing the tower and we get new form to unlock. that would be an interesting session to play.

I'd rather make one that follows a similar journey like Jinwoo. Remember that he throws hands. Aasimar for daily healing and in case the dm doesn't like variant human. In case if the game lasts until level 12: 3 in assassin rogue for vital strike, 7 in shadow monk for hands and shadow abilities and avoid AOE attacks, 2 in grave cleric for his healing(potion flavored) and daily channel divinity to make enemies vulnerable for extra damage.

The only thing that I would change is I didn’t see you give him mage hand to be used as rulers authority because that is a skill that he uses a lot

RAW Rage gives +2 "When you make a melee weapon attack using Strength". However, PHB p195 writes "Instead of using a weapon to make a melee weapon attack, you can use an unarmed strike: punch, kick, head-butt, or similar forceful blow (none of which count as weapons)". Am I misunderstanding the rules or don't unarmed strikes count as weapon attacks, forfeitig the rage bonus damage?

I built a version of Doomguy using the 2024 rules. For that I did one level in paladin for heavy armor and the smite spell, three levels into Hexblade Warlock, and then the rest into Evocation Wizard. This lets you set a hexblade curse and then bullet spam with magic missiles. If you get in close, you can Divine Smite and then use Overchannel to get maximum damage since Smite is an evocation spell.

You could make it with the path of the giant barbarian to gain a returning axe. And adding in ice damage and fire damage fir the blades of chaos. And him growing in size harkens back to his fight with Ares
