Great video man, started my own journey to develop meaty forearms and hands. I've got a question though, how big of a difference does wrist flexions on dumbbells and cables have? Often find my gym to be too overcrowded for high sets on cables. Cables are the better option and definitely will choose them when free, but do you think dumbbells can bring in similar or close results?
@CruiserchivalryАй бұрын
Does focusing on wrist flection with cables from an arm extended position target the thickness of the wrist more as apposed to the lower forearm Or should I be focusing hand grip/thumb work? Thanks
@JanetH-r3vАй бұрын
You know how you can stretch the wrist on table, but then turn it into a loaded exercise similar to calf raises? You can assist with calves to adjust tension. It's quite stable movement that gets you way further into the stretch than most wrist curls. Would this be worth including for hypertrophy?

tendonitis is dealt with relatively the same for any tendon: higher reps, more warmups, taking long rest in the beginning if the tendon gives significant pain the day after. for forearms i think starting off with rice bucket training is best as your main volume. as you grow it can be a warmup

Hey there. Would be awesome if you drink L-Citrulline to get a better bloodflow. Just pump the muscle as much as you can and lower the weight around 30% of your PR. 20-30 reps should be fine, get proper rest in between the sets and monitor your current condition! Hope it helps!

@RelentlessRogerАй бұрын
I actually double checked and the extensors muscles are exactly what I talked about, those "outside of the forearm muscles" and the flexors are the "inner forearm muscles" like shown at 0:34, Multiple persons said the same thing in this comment section but I think I'll make a post with anatomy pictures to see if it's a misunderstanding
@BrutalocalypseАй бұрын
@@RelentlessRogerYeah but still there's an error. You showed the outside/extensors but you're wrong how they are used. That machine only works flexor muscles. Flexors close the hand. Extensors open the hand. So to work extensors would be to open the hand with resistance or a pronated curl which puts tension on the extensors. KZbin, Google, etc. If you look up how forearm extensors muscles work or what an extensor resistance item looks like, it is the opposite of what you showed. Ex: The bicep is a flexor and the Tricep is an extensor. What you did was show the equivalent of a bicep Curl and said it worked your Tricep while pointing the camera at your Tricep.
@BrutalocalypseАй бұрын
@@RelentlessRogerstill love the video. Subbed and learning. I just figured you mixed up the words. I think the intent is still clear and people can learn from it. If people are paying attention as they learn, they will figure out extensor/flexor for themselves.
