How To Build Storage | Workshop Parts Organization

Today I show how to make a modular cabinet for my shop. This is a parts organization cabinet with tons of storage. I discuss how I work and why I do things the way I do.

Shoot nails with the gun perpendicular to the edge. The chisel point on the nails make them turn in the wood. That chisel edge is on one side of the nails when they’re together. That makes them go sideways and why you can get the nails sticking out. Easy fix. Especially when you have nice near complete project and really don’t want a nail peeling out and ruining everything.

Perpendicular, yes. And I agree, the nail should follow the chisel point, but I think it's more about keeping the flat side of the brad nail perpendicular. They usually only bend on the flat sides.

They are Bessey Parallel Clamps, and yes they are that good. Expensive though. (Also they're red)

I did something similar for my small parts organizer. I’m even cheaper than you though - I didn’t put bottoms on them. The organizers just sit in a hollow bottomless box.
