All I can say is WOW!! It looks like a fighter jet at first glance. Great video. Makes me miss the old days. Back in 1997 when they launched online racing I was there the 2nd day. We started with 8 cars per race I think. Warp was a huge problem due to trying to race on modems. I raced until around 2011 I think. I blew my back out and they loaded me up with pain killers which in turn totally ruined racing. I couldn't run consistent laps and my reaction time was totally out of wack. I went from a top 5 or 10 guy with the occasional win, to a guy that started at the back and parked it when they lapped me. I really miss racing online and to see what it has become is almost just crazy. 24hr races.... Whoa! mind blown. Plus the dirt side where the track slicks off and develops a cushion is just incredible. So we bought my wifes grandma's house after she passed away and it is way out in the boonies. Corn fields as far as you can see, it's just crazy. I miss living in town because the stores were 2-8 minutes away. Now a gas station is 7 minutes away and the grocery store is 15 min away. The trade off is that it's very quiet and when there is no moon in the sky you can't see your hand in front of your face. It gets really dark out here. I had my heart cut out by my local cable company. Cable service stops 7/10 of a mile from me and they wont come down my road because there is not enough people to justify the cost. Pissed me right the F**K off. So its satellite only and if I raced on the satellite service I might just as well buy a real race car because my satellite bill would be really huge each month. I envy you guys. The equipment available now with the direct drive wheels and just all the peripherals that are available. I am dying to race with the VR headset in a full motion sim unit. Now were talking. I watched a few videos and it looks so real. Peace

I ve been thinking of assembling a rig for the last 2 years watching vids of other people racing and haven't made the move yet. Today a flat out petrolhead close to 40 who used to play toca and colin mcrae rally using the game pad and wearing a helmet. Soon there will be no turbochargers no boxers and no V8s to listen to and smile like idiots. The point is my friend that your comment at the end of the video is spot on. Life is short and we are not getting any younger so wtf i m going for it.

Race Beyond Matter Little tip brother, if you go into your motherboard bios there should be an option to enable iGpu what that does is allow you to use the HDMI port on your motherboard as well as your GPU, it wont effect games. I use it for my 4th monitor so not to use up any ports on my GPU So look for IGPU and enable it. I got my sim racing 4u button box last week and currently trying to figure out how to mount everything as i have a different motor mount so hard to get it how you have it but i will figure it out. Also i cant seem to get that sticky Alcantara in the UK. Ebay have some but its stupidly exspensive and for a small amount, i have also purchased the stream deck normal one and a mini but wont be able to do the build until i can source the Sticky Alcantara which is so annoying but all i can do is keep searching.

SimRacing4u is awesome. Got a small little button box that fits well on my stand using double sided tape. Has two switches, engine start button, 4 dials, and 12 buttons. Works perfect in any game I play. I can then use JoyToKey virtual controller to program each button for commands that are hardcoded to the keyboard. Really good for NASCAR Racing 2003 Season where the pit menus are locked to the F keys. Really solid product for really cheap, and the glowing Engine Start button is beautiful.

Thanks so much for your videos, truly inspiring! I'm working on my own project with 3x 43inch monitors, NLR FGT cockpit, Podium DD1 and V3 Pedals. I'm trying to find some stick on alcatara to wrap my monitors and button boxes from sim racing 4u, love the way you've done this. I can't seem to find any self adhesive alcatara any sugestions would be great :)

I have just bought a couple of button boxes from Ariel at Simracing 4U, Ariel was very happy to create bespoke layouts for me, which was amazing. Yesterday I ordered angle brackets so I can mount the boxes to whatever angle I need, plenty of self adhesive Alcantara, i've always got loads of cardboard boxes in the garage. And today your awesome video came out, perfect timing. The dashboard is very interesting, did the screen come ready to install, with the cables so you just have to mount it or did you have to build the electronics on the back first?

Hey, I am preparing everything to build a simracing rig. I only can't decide whether to choose for a triple 32 inch or 27 inch 1440 monitor setup. The 32 inch monitor is only €10 more expensive... I think 32 inch gives a better immersion but I am afraid the pixel density is bad. What would you recommend? It is the LG UltraGear 27/32GP850-B.
@chepilevski3 жыл бұрын
32 inch for sure! 27 inch must be between wheel base and wheel and 32 inch goes behind the base and have much more opportunity to get it absolutely right! Because the 32 will be 30cm further you will not be able to see any pixels trust me ! 32inch 1440p at 60cm distance looms just my 27 inch 4K I have to my rig !
@beschuitelia19873 жыл бұрын
@@chepilevski I also wanted to have the monitors behind the wheel base so that is perfect. I am going for the 32inch. Thank you so much for sharing your experience and knowledge!!
