These are absolutely fantastic feats of Foam Engineering! Form, function and Beauty! 👌👏👏👏👏👏 However.... For those of us who are on the LOW end of the income ladder - and have Finger issues that keeps me from complex and multiple lining and cutting BEFORE even building... I wish we could also have more new Classic FliteTest "Simple Series" Kits. There hasn't been one like the Storch, Cub, Sportster, Scout and Planes like those in YEARS!! 😭 YES, progress and all that......... But for a sector of us, some new Simple Kits like those mentioned, maybe some mid sized Biplanes like the Blender... I can't possibly be the only one. Please stay SAFE! 😷 Everyone. What is the thickness of this white foam Board? Our stores only sell 3 or 5 mm. Which one is better to use?

I use Adams Redi-Board for these planes, which was recommended near the beginning of the video. I think the thickness is closer to the 5 mm. You can get white Adam's Redi-Board 20x30 sheets at DollerTree stores for $1 each. I am sure you can get it other places too (can buy in bulk case of 25 sheets on Amazon for $45), but this is the cheapest that I know of for that specific brand of foam board.

Although the materials would be cheaper, a similar amount of labor would be needed to develop those and manufacture them. We actually suggest that when you buy the kit, you take a little time to trace replacements parts you might need and that works really well.

P-47 lol is a good start. Easy starting point, NICE Flyer!! One of EACH eventually lol. STILL WAITING for the F/A-18, F-16, ME-262, and would LOVE a F-86!!

@@Xiphactinus Not all of them.... The P-38 Lightning and F-4U Corsair, though COOL - are difficult builds, finicky to get just right, but not the hardest to Fly. The P-47 Thunderbolt and Supermarine Spitfire are much easier to build and get right. Can be docile to Fly as well. The P-51 Mustang sits squarely in the intermediate range. Looks beautiful and of course is popular, but neither a beginning build or flyer. Hope that helps.

You COULD get the 4 Blade 1200mm Corsair Prop from Horizon. Not completely Scale, but will do the job

@@CarminesRCTipsandTricks it did, for about 10 minutes and for some reason the elevator got stuck in the down position and I nosed it into the ground and it was catastrophic to say the least. The 4 blade prop worked awesome though

3:47:13 dont do this my man, you just need to keep the transmiter in 0 sub trim and go the plane unscrew the screws of aileirons set the ailerons matched with the wing and after this you screw it back and do the trim in the flight

At the 53:00 or so mark and while installing this center spar was a feat in itself. I had to cut a little relief in the D2 former which did the trick.

They just switched to different type of foam, it's water proof and slightly easier to manipulate. But it's the same product
