On a scale of 1-10, I'd give this roster maybe a 7 or 7.5. I do like that you stuck with Mario or Mario affiliated characters, but some of the choices I find a little questionable. Like, I don't think I'd take Flutter over Wiggler. I also think if another Kong were to appear, I would personally want Cranky over Tiny, and the clones feel a little on the high side for my tastes. Like as much as I personally love all Shy Guys, I'm not too sure we really need Fly Guy. But hey, I'm just one person, and what I feel might not be the same for others, and that's okay.

Rob is the only non mario character that deserves a comeback. The dude was in DS ! The dude saved the GAMING INDUSTRY ! Also, I don't get the hate for the koopallings... They are unique and the have appeared in multiple games outside of the 2D plateformers ! Finnaly... Put Paper Mario, he needs to be added Ho, and still saying DK junior is donkey kond, it is a retcon, it's the current canon (I don't get why people are so obseed with him, I get the nostalgia factor but, you kept Baby DK too.

I honestly agree with the non-Mario characters as I like saving room for more actual Mario characters. The only one I am fine with would be R.O.B. since he always just felt right to me, I don't know. If I could add a few, it would be Kirby, Sonic, and Pac-Man as I think they would genuinely fit in the most with Mario Kart. And ones like Rabbid Mario or Rabbid Peach would be cool with me since they technically debuted in a Mario game but are also not technically fully Mario characters.

Tbh great list, outside of some that come to personal opinion like Gold for Metal Mario and Boomerang for Hammer Bro, the changes I would make would be Helicopter Shy Guy for the Miis and the Kremlin for Goomba And also turn Tanooki and Dr. Mario into skins because I love them so much

I really want Donkey Kong Jr. to return. He was in the original Mario Kart and never came back other than in Tour where they left his model pixelated to look like the old school game. I believe he’s only appeared in like one other Mario game because he was essentially replaced by Diddy Kong. DK Jr. deserves proper justice

Overall not bad. If I (in MY opinion) had to make some changes to your roster it would be: *Replace Paratroopa with Lakitu (Paratroopa can just be a Koopa costume) *Replace Fly Guy with Monty Mole (Fly Guy is just a Shy Guy with a propeller much like the Parabones and Paragoomba) *Replace Flutter with Wiggler (more well known) *Replace Tiny Kong with Honey Queen (real talk, having this many DK/Kong characters would be no better than the Koopalings) *Replace ROB with Miis *Replace Kritter, Penguin, and Whomp King with Larry, Iggy, and Ludwig (3 best Koopalings)

Lol this roster is incredible. Tons of DK representation, the friggin Whomp king, and if there's any non-Mario character to return, I would definitely pick ROB. The Koopalings can also be BJ alternates (like in Smash), instead of taking up 7 slots. Also lol at the SM64 "oof". Good video as always.

This concept is interesting, in fact through the community's tournament of the most popular characters I was going to draw conclusions of how the Next Mario Kart roster should be (with the only exceptions of link and inkling because I feel they would be very out of place) and some newcomers I would bring would be Foreman Spike (because he is destined to appear in the Super Mario Movie) Professor E. Gadd and some WarioWare characters like Ashley, Mona or Penny (I mean, if Donkey Kong country already had its representation with Diddy, Funky and Dixie and the DK Jungle Track in Mario Kart 7, Yoshi's Island with all the babies and Luigi's Mansion with the Luigi's Mansion Track in Mario Kart DS, the Battle Stage in Double Dash and King Boo skin in Mario Kart Tour why can't Warioware join to the party too? [I think I went on longer than I wanted to at the beginning but anyway 😂]).

Great Video!💖 Personally I think there I too many DK Characters, I think we only have 4. DK, Diddy, Dixie and Funky. The other I’d disagree with is Toadsworth all baby characters. We should have Wiggler over Flutter and Honey Queen over Fly Guy. I think Hammer Bro is more likely realistically. Before I list my roster of 48 characters I am going to state two things. 1: I despise all clone characters 2: I despise non Mario characters in Mario Kart (except Miis) My ideal Mario Kart roster: Mario Luigi Peach Daisy Rosalina Toad Toadette Pauline Wario Waluigi Yoshi Birdo Bowser Bowser Jr Kamek Larry Iggy Ludwig Morton Lemmy Wendy Roy Shy Guy Koopa Troopa Dry Bones Hammer Bro Spike King Boo Monty Mole Nabbit Donkey Kong Diddy Kong Dixie Kong Funky Kong King Bob-omb Petey Piranha Baby Mario Baby Luigi Baby Peach Pianta Cappy Luma Chargin Chuck Lakitu E Gadd Noki Plessie Mii (Honorable mentions: Boom Boom, Pom Pom, Ninji, Wiggler, Sprixie, Goomba, King Whomp, Broodals, and Glydon) As much as I would love to see RPG characters like Fawful, Vivian and Goombella be added to Mario Kart, they stand no chance to ever be in a Mario Kart roster unfortunately. When you chose Boomerang Bro over Hammer Bro, I already was dumbfounded, considering the normal Bro would be the most obvious and realistic choice. Also why the hell would you add Fly Guy, Flutter AND Tiny Kong, yet remove Pianta, Luma and Boo? Ok if Boo is an item, it makes sense, but you already have Shy Guy there so you don't need Fly Guy. And I can't justify having Flutter in when Wiggler is already out, and the new DK reps are already filled with the Kremlings so either get rid of Tiny or Kritter. Other than that, good changes, even though I'm biased that I think Baby Peach and Baby Daisy should be together. Oh and if you have a metallic Mario, use normal Metal Mario honestly, and only include R.O.B. if there's at least ONE more guest.

Imo the more iconic versions of characters should be added, so wiggler instead of flutter, metal mario instead of gold mario, and hammer bro instead of boomerang bro. Also, fly guy, tiny kong, paratroopa, king thwomp and the penguin are unnecessary characters. Luma, pianta, captain toad, Boom boom and Pom pom definitely should’ve been added instead.

It could even work well as a heavyweight version of Mario if his (bad) iterations from the latest Smash games are anything to go by.
