Jon, Been watching your videos for years - since I first got into woodworking. Your style is exactly what I hope for in a teacher; no flashy intros or annoying music, just valuable insight from start to finish. On top of that, your builds are as high in quality as your teaching. You're a true craftsman with an eye for quality and design, and I am very grateful that you share your techniques with people like me. Personally, I really enjoyed this format. I don't often have the time for 45+ minute videos, but when it's from Jon Peters, it's must-watch entertainment for the evening. In-depth builds like this are gold. Thank you for all that you do!

I very much appreciate the extra time it takes to make these kind of videos. To me woodworking is a process and you break that process down so it is easy to follow and understand as well as entertaining to watch. I always come away with something new. Thanks for taking the time to share with all of us.

Hi Jon - Thank for this video. I’m a retired hydronic heating contractor from Chicago and I just made my first piece of cabinetry based on your videos. It’s a kitchen island with a bookcase at the end of it toward the dining room. Wouldn’t have been able to do it to my liking without your videos.

Fantastic video Jon! Great detail, pace and, thankfully, no music other than for the intro. Earlier this year I made queen size bed storage thanks to your videos and am now building cabinets and drawers for a new kitchen. Again, thanks to your videos. A mobile kitchen island will be built after the rest of the kitchen is installed. This bookcase design, with dimension changes, would make a beautiful island. Of course prior to building the island I will need to rewatch this video several times. Thank you for the long video.

I like these builds. Simple, elegant, high quality, functional pieces I can accomplish in a reasonable time frame without a ton of setups. I only get a few hours in the shop each week so a lot of complicated joinery can make projects take months as they always tend to get put on the back burner when something else takes priority. I think we can tend to forget a lot of custom cabinetry built in a similar fashion goes out of style long before any sort of failure.
