Somehow a Magic the Gathering Lore splurge led me back to Eberron, a setting I love and want to play or run again. Besides a one shot that didn’t explore it much, I was a player for a few momths in a game that ultimately wasn’t for me and also fell apart around the time I decided to leave amicably. I was a Goliath Monk, Folk Hero Background, who had no memory before waking up the day OF the Mourning 2 years prior. People somehow knew him and said he just wandered into the village and collapsed. He decided to stay after that, with just a name. Variak. He did some work, helped fend off an owlbear, and came to love the local tavern, wanting to open his own. His chance came with a mysterious letter that was our adventure hook. Sadly the game was more a Heist Railroad than a sandbox mystery.

Currently playing a Battle smith artificer from house cannith in Eberron. During the war she was severely injured in an explosion causing her to become part machine in order to save her life. She is also currently attuned to a beholder crown now.

My current character is a changeling warlock who served in the last war and accidentally triggered an old Overlord inside an amulet to become her patron and now she’s a Claw of Kyber. I’m also working on a Mask Weaver Moon Druid. You mentioned so many subclasses that now I feel like both drowning and playing every single one (brand new to Dnd)! There’s also so much lore that you can play so many different characters and campaigns. It’s kinda overwhelming. Thanks for all the ideas!!!

I'm two years into an Eberron game playing a Daelkyr halfblooded rogue from the Shadow Marshes. He's a squirrely little weirdo who kinda runs on Wonderland logic. He also got turned into a vampire at one point and has accidentally bitten a few members of the party. He got better (???). He's not undead anymore. Now he's as much aberrant as he is man.

I have a House of Hospitality Halfling Conjuration Wizard/Life Cleric who owns a tavern. He sells flavored goodberries that not only fills the patrons appetite but comes with extra healing. He also sells flavored water at a huge discount. The tavern is called, "Milo's Eat Inn" (sounds like Milo's Eden). Minor Conjuration helps having a broom always on hand.

Nice one!!! A lot of cool ideas. I DM 2 Eberron campaigns. 1 set in Q'Barra and 1 on Eberrons wizard school Arcanix. For the latter I basically grabbed Strixhaven and dropped it in Arcanix with a few minor alterations. Works perfectly! Looking forward to a Ravnica one since I'm planning to use that one as a base for Sharn 😉.

13:00 little bit of lore on the Inspired they were made to the perfect vessels for the evil quori so they can be possessed by the quori without resistance due to that fact they're not recommended for player characters in general the Kalashtar are a better choice for a character connected to the quori and can still work great for a g.o.o warlock. Now of course create any character you want as the idea of a rebel Inspired is a interesting concept and you could come up with some kind of item to prevent possession but one slip up and your character could be possessed without a save and lose control of that character permanently.

I wanna rework one of my old ideas for a character (I never got to use them) for Eberron one of these days (I've got no one to play with). The character was kidnapped and experimented on in the attempt to make a more powerful and cost effective soldier using the marrow of lycanthropes. The marrow was placed in her arm and a long story involving an escape and many bodies (some of which weren't her doing) she escaped and became an artificer/warrior for hire with a mysterious alive-feeling mechanical dog following her everywhere. She also managed to oh so mysteriously lose her arm along the way ;)
