Would a cheaper SSD and a Ryzen 1400 allow for more budget for the GPU? And possibly better overclocking and performance with hyperthreading?
@toontownlegomaster
@toontownlegomaster 5 жыл бұрын
I'd recommend going with a Ryzen build with this case because you end up probably spending the same amount you spent on the older hardware. Especially since the 3000 series of Ryzen is coming out really soon it should be a good upgrade or if anyone else reading this comment is getting ideas I'd go that route.

Kinda of a weird decision going for the 850 Evo in a tight budget like this. Even more going for the 500Gb model. An ok Sandisk Plus 240Gb for half the price, and a WD Blue 1TB would've been just fine, and cheaper. Nice video otherwise.
@v.aesthetic3764
@v.aesthetic3764 7 жыл бұрын
Many people go that route, and it's fine, I just prefer to stick with only using SSD's and the 500GB will last a while, and when he needs more storage, he can just add another SSD.

Man, I missed the price breakdown of the CPU,Ram and Mobo, and was really confused on your choice of the H270 mini itx because of it's non sale price, but the deal you got was great!! Nice build, especially for the price of the components.
@toontownlegomaster
@toontownlegomaster 5 жыл бұрын
I would not go semi modular in this case. It's the only time I wouldn't in a mini itx case because the semi modular cables stick out so the ends of the wire protrude onto your gpu whether you like it or not and you just have to watch the wires be bent up against the GPU backside. It's painful to look at but I guess it should be fine but a normal ATX power supply is fine as I can see from your video its cleaner and doesn't interfere with the GPU unless you had one that was probably the longest length the PC case could go.

Well done on picking up quality parts. That 970 topped it off, and i must say the build is sharp. I ran into a deal like that, and picked up a r9 390 MSI gaming for 100.00 also. It's in my guest pc, with a 4690k.

The Cougar QBX-Kaze has better airflow, also I think it would be cool to see a build using the GIGABYTE GA-AB350N-Gaming, it's out of stock now unfortunately, but it's an awesome great price AM4 ITX board that came out 2 days ago. I managed to get one before it went out of stock. I'm hoping it's better than the biostar one that AM4 adopters have been stuck with for months now. :)

My entry level pc is just a 1050Ti and an ssd slapped onto a Dell Optiplex with sandy bridge i5. gtx 970 would have been a better choice but then I would also have needed a new PSU. If I had had the option of building the whole PC I would have picked a Ryzen 5 1600 for versatility. But the i5 is a solid choice considering the cheap motherboard you were able to find.

@doplank4421
@doplank4421 7 жыл бұрын
For i5 4460 3,2 Ghz, the best pair is with RX 570/580/470/480 or GTX 1060 6 GB. If you buy GTX 1070, your PC will be bottleneck. This is my suggest for you, buy RX 470 first, and saving again for a couple month, upgrade you CPU with i7 4970 (non K), and then sell you i5 4460 and RX 470, and buy GTX 1070, if you want more future proof.

That's odd. A standard ATX PSU definitely fits.
@trembledust6819
@trembledust6819 6 жыл бұрын
Sorry for late response. You probably already found out the answer. I wouldn't go by Amazon's descriptions at all. It is totally wrong. Goto Cougar's site.The case supports psu's up to 140mm in length like the one you saw used in the build in the video. Standard ATX psu's are not all the same length however. I popped an Evga 650 G3 in that case and had to bend the psu support bracket on the bottom for it to fit. That psu is 150mm and is considered compact. Oddly enough when Amazon is saying only SFX psu's I tried a Silverstone SX650-G and it would not fit as it was way too small. It would only align with 2 out of the four mounting holes.

also just modified your part list (uk.pcpartpicker.com/list/GZ6xM8) and got you a better CPU and GPU as well as faster RAM for the price and managed to squeeze in a high quality individual fan as this case has less fans though many of the parts are red accented such as red RAM and red LED fans as well as red LED MOBO (the one in your build was also red) the only thing without red accents is the SSD which has yellow accents and is from Corsair

Even though you don't plan on SLI in the future, there will be a heck of a lot more options for ATX motherboards. Mid towers with great water cooling support: Fractal Define S, Phanteks EVOLV, Phanteks Pro M, Corsair 570X, Thermaltake View 31, NZXT Noctis 450, etc
