@@robertmeese6545 the Timing? .... Do you mean slump?... Or ...? If you have workable concrete and your weather and elevation is good, you can trowel out lap lines always, but on most large pad jobs like this , any reputable company is going to have a power trowel. It's cheaper than having finish guys on standby paying $30 per hour each... Any 2500-3000 psi concrete with a true slump is usually finishable for a while afterwards. As long as you can get a good cream that's all that matters, and if it's going to be broom finish it doesn't really matter anyway.

So been doing concrete a cpl years but reletively new to finishing. Got 3 questions 1 . So a bullfloat is used to flatten out everything after rodding correct? 2. What is the fresno used for? Like the steel ones the size of the bullfloat? 3. What is a funny trowel/ hand trowel on the pole used for? Ive seen some of the older guys use it but only sometimes? Whats the purpose and WHEN is it used? Any insight is highly appreaciated man. I really wanna learn and improve more.
