And you then have something that you really want to see through your window. Rather than the crossover suv whatever wart on wheels that you may now own.

There are 2 types of classic people, one love the raising price and others who love the car. It's a bit sad that now the classic car business has been taken over by those who love the price, and it makes not only buying, but also owing one of them become pricey. I was lucky to have the chance to own an air-cooled Porsche 911 while it was still around 10K GBP something, but now even a clutch would cost me 600 GBP to buy. I understand that old things kept and raised it value over time, but should now this classic car business be a little bit unhealthy because it went up far too much.

+YongQiang Chi a good point. Don't you think though that there are classic car fans and investors though? And when the classic car market isn't as lucrative as it is right now the investors will move on. The flipside is that will all the interest in classic cars right now, the classic car community is getting a louder voice than it once had, there are a variety of really great events and we're getting to see cars that have been hidden away for decades. On balance, I think it's a great time to be a classic car fan.

It's insane how the prices of any old car with even the slightest ounce of significance have gone up in value. I bought a 1992 Alfa Romeo 164 about four years ago with only 37k original miles for next to nothing. Now when i look at the prices for 164s they are insane. I saw a clean example the other day with 100k miles being sold for eleven thousand dollars more than I payed for mine. I have a feeling this is because it was the last car Alfa made before they were under the ownership of fiat, but nonetheless, it's absolutely ridiculous when you think these things used to go for 4 grand with a busso V6. A good one at that.
