Wonderful building, alone, if it was empty. As it is on this walk-around, it's an art gallery! Thanks for sharing this with us.

Mathewsons know cars, it's in their DNA, as simple as that - bikes commercials, oddballs and 'autmobilia' as well come to that, as their eclectic collection - part included here - shows. Watched Bangers & Cash, followed the auctions online checking estimates reserves and results, stalked a couple of my dream car marque and put in a couple of highest 'submit' bids (not accepted but that's how it goes) then a couple of years ago bought a car unseen relying entirely on Del Boy's video and the photos. Exactly as described, the car's not concours but doesn't disgrace itself was Derek's description and absolutely bang on. It's still a head turner on the road or parked up. The most fun I can have with my clothes on.😂 I live in Yorkshire and as soon as I say I bought at auction their immediate reaction is "Mathewson's? 'course it was (duh) there's nobody else round here!"

Since your very first appearance on Bangers & Cash I have followed the program and since Covid as a company you have grown tremendously and is just as interesting now as it as ever been. But I noticeyou no longer do live auctions so I they all done either on line or via telephone.

I visited the museum a few years ago, I think it was £2, but it could have been free, to get in! I left my family in the park across the road and had a good look round. I was the only person in there. Would love to go again, but can you imagine the queues. They would be around the block! Derick mentioned the Rillington garage, everytime I pass it I wonder what treasures are in there and why it's not in use.

Looks like there isn't enough hour's in the day for what Derek wants to do there, but as the old saying goes Rome wasn't built in a day . But once he's got it done it will be a fantastic place to visit.

Same as all the other museums displaying stuff that's been superseded and relegated to archaeological or historical curiosities. Everything we use now has been developed from museum exhibits that failed which is why modern stuff works, it learned from past failures, hence why the current crop of BEVs will only be seen in museums in the quite near future.
@adeh5032 ай бұрын
Electric cars are shite, some of these car's here are 60/70 years old and still going strong, your Electric junk will be recycled into coke cans after 15 years

Went into the museum before it closed and it was great, I dont know if it is still outside the entrance to the museum and it was a Bond 3 wheeler which had a 197 villiers engine driving the front wheel, it brought me back to my teenage years when I had to trade in my 650 BSA Super Rocket for one as my son came along, that was certainly a culture shock !!!!!
