Hi John, Hostels are all about creating a safe and comfortable community of people living together in harmony. After having owned and worked in hostels of all shapes and sizes, I can say the community can be very cozy, connected and cooperative at about 30 beds. Above 50 beds, the guests (and owners) start to loose track of names and that personal touch so it starts to feel less like a community and more like a hotel. Hi Igor, Perhaps you know something I don't, but you should check out my last video where I traveled to Ukraine to see how they were converting tourist hostels into housing for refugees. Hostel owners are experts at making large numbers of people comfortable in small spaces. What I saw in Ukraine was truly impressive.
