Thank you! I think depends on personal circumstances, but between 50k-100k. Best to confirm with a broker!

Ok. I’ve saved 100k. In you opinion do you think i’m best to save 30k to cover fees etc and buy two cheap properties rather than one? Saving 6k a month . I’m a single person 54yrs old and on reasonable income and very good super. Broker said I will be allowed a 750k loan. Thinking a rentvesting route.

You probably don’t have quite enough deposit for 2

Hi PK, if you do have the 20% deposit on hand, would you still deposit based on 12% and why would you choose one or the other? My other 8% could be offset against my PPOR.
@AusPropertyMasteryWithPK Жыл бұрын
I think the answer depends on how quickly you want to buy another property

@AusPropertyMasteryWithPK in my case, not any time soon. I am torn between higher rates+lmi+tax deduction and offsetting the ppor vs lower rates but losing offset money and tax deduction

PK, for someone who does not quite have enough for a deposit and does not have enough borrowing power to buy even a 300k property, could they get a generous friend or family member to buy a property with a 12% deposit and then transfer the title to their name? Would that be a straightforward process? Would another stamp duty need to be paid? Thanks.
@AusPropertyMasteryWithPK Жыл бұрын
Yes unfortunately transferring the ownership requires stamp duty. Maybe a jv arrangement?
@gothops2632 Жыл бұрын
@AusPropertyMasteryWithPK But if a person can only borrow 200k and only has say 50k for a deposit, they would still be much better off paying stamp duty twice by having their generous friend buy a 500k property for them, right? At least then, they would be in the market with a better performing property than a 1 bedroom unit, which is all they would be able to buy on their own.

@@gothops2632 you’re onto something! I can’t give financial advice here though. Keep in mind all taxes
