just go to a AD get on the "waitlist" its going To take like a year based on the model but you'll save more money and it seems like your not in a hurry.

Roleys are the real deal, and I'm definitely planning to own one by month end! Unrelated but let’s say you came into some extra funds and bought one for say 20k, how much could you sell it for say in two years if you needed the cash? Do they appreciate in value over time, or do they lose worth?

If this is one of your fears/reasons for buying one, you might want to reconsider and put your money into stocks or another solid investment instead. With the right F.A or by choosing the right things to invest in, you could grow your wealth to the point where you could afford an even better watch down the line all while ensuring your financial security in same 2 years. I say this from experience, having been in your shoes before. Goodluck

Well, you should start by looking out for those from credible firms and good track records. Also, make sure the person is licensed. Personally, I use Michael, Allen Eckrich. He's good and you could also look him up too. And they're usually way cheaper than you would expect.

How about doing a guide to buying a rolex from 47nd street? In the new year, I'd like to buy a 4 digit datejust. Buying a datejust here in England would cost the same as flying out, stopping in a cheap hotel and buying a watch. I don't want to spend more than $3000 on a watch that's half decent but knowing who to trust...ahh, that the headache. Guys have a wonderful Christmas and new year. Blessings from England 🇬🇧

We need a buy at price for date just sub and gmt if your flipping or end user. Explain why every video says margins are 7 to 10 percent but everyone's offering less than a new watch costs for unworn, then sells used for 4 thousand more.

If I was to guess they have small margins when sourced from other dealers. When they source from a non dealer they know they can get it for far less so they try. Ultimately a dealer takes on all the risk that the watch they buy will not sell and could stay in their inventory for a long time.

Date just smooth on jubilee Wimbledon dial 3 weeks zero purchase history. Guy suggested he could get me a ghost in 12 months. Green Sub in less than a year. I went in with a purple lable suit wearing creed. Made the best presentation i could. I knew all the hype in the sub and gmt. Talked their ear off.

I've gone away from watching any of the watch flippers, and all the guys who are into watches seemingly just for the money and profit. Now I try to watch just the people who are truly passionate about horology, and not the ones who are more passionate about making money and the "business" side of the watch world. It's become pretty gross to be quite honest.

I feel like Rolex is the most inflated and over hyped watch brand in the world. I really don't get why. I started my own little watch collection and I have a Tag Heuer chronograph and an Omega Seamaster Planet Ocean chronograph. I payed about 15k euros for both MSRP, and never even thought about a Rolex.

It's a Veblen good, people buy them because they confer social status, but they're also good watches when it comes down to it. But the first one is primarily the reason why they're so ridiculously expensive. Because they confer so much social status to have one, people willing to pay exorbitant amounts to get one.

I screwed up kinda. Got a 1601 36mm with the rolled bracelet two tone 18k with a aftermarket black dial for 4600. Two links looked cracked. Happy with it but if I spent a little more I’d be better off. But I love it
