This is such a beautiful and informative interview. It's even interesting because I'm a lawyer in Nigeria so the interview makes more sense to me. Acquiring land as a foreigner is quite easier in Ghana than in Nigeria - it's quite a tedious process here. Thank you Ama.

This was very good work Jasmine. That land is so beautiful and should really be designed by (town planners/architects/gardeners) professionals. I noticed the open gutters, 👀 again, which means they are continuing the same mistakes of the past. Also, no sidewalks 👀 I hope they plant lots of trees and allocate places for communal parks and greenery.

Not interested myself but i love watching videos of ghana. My fiancé's sister lived there and my fiancé and all his family live in togo. I have been twice and i miss the environment.

This video is very informative. I learned some few tips that I might have missed. I was able to get a land as a foreigner. I didn’t want to stress myself too much though so I purchased directly from a well known Estate. It’s more expensive but I saved myself some stress. Unfortunately, even some of the agents can be shady so it’s hard to trust anyone.

Ghana is a beautiful country, but is it worth the investment for the non-Ghanaian black diaspora ? If we are thinking about building homes and investing in the tourist sector, there are other African countries that have less complicated and less expensive pathways. Thanks for clarity.
@brofutv18532 жыл бұрын
No single country would FIT or be ideal for everybody. The reality is that every individual has a place that appeals to them, no matter what others feel about it. Let others sell what they have on offer and not seek to constantly bad mouth those who have made themselves attractive. There's enough to go round.

Why is it that NO ONE can own land in Ghana or Africa, but it is leased only for 50 or 99yrs? That means one's own african descendants would have to repurchase or renegotiate land ownership that they may have lived on all their lives. It seems desperately unfair because in UK when you own a property whether it is land or a house freehold, then that property can be passed on to your living relatives hence generational wealth. It is same in Jamaica too. All you need make sure that property taxes paid each year. But still that property is yours and your family to enjoy and pass on. But not so in Africa.

SCAM: There is no such thing as buying land in Ghana. They should say, lease in Ghana because you will never own it. There is no security for yourself nor your children. They tell you to return home then they call you immigrant. It is more like taking your money and later kick you out.
