God bless you man and your daughter. Your right about helping people. Against my advice, my wife bought me a Samsung galaxy s8 pre-owned. She had great intentions but let's just say she wouldn't be tech savvy . after buying the phone which came with no charger and only 5% battery charge. Long story short I'm stuck with an expensive phone which is useless, I still have no phone so I hope this can help me.....the loser who sold the phone won't replay to my calls or messages. I wish Samsung would address this problem I am sure there are thousands caught by scammers

This isn't a Samsung issue. It's a Google issue! My daughter changed the password on my phone and doesn't remember what it was. Been stuck with it looks and can't get it to work. It's not a Samsung and I didn't have a Google keyboard installed

I imagine this video must've been very helpful for older models. I tried with the Galaxy S8 plus and when the "Couldn't sign in" prompt appeared, it didn't let me continue. It would just kick me back. I imagine they just implemented more security at this stage of the series so I'm not surprised, but I wss hopeful. Regardless I did wanted to say thank you. Perfect!! a little different but it worked. I believe the "Turn off the internet at the particular moment" is what did it. I didn't have to go back through all of the other stuff. I just did this last night on a straight talk lg I did have to do things a little different, but it worked on my phone on the set-up screen I had a "safe mode' opt I hit that it will take you into really basic phone settings the trick was to go to next then accessibility I on the accessibility feature shortcut and right below that is a opt to switch access by configurable key combination's and I followed those direction" s and I was able to just by pass all the sighn in , you can always go to you tube and signed in later that took

instead of trying to sign in when the phone requests using a previously synced account, just hit the NEXT button and it will let you skip this step, and then you can set up your own account. I used my current gmail account and it synced to the cloud and retrieved my phone numbers.

This loophole is covered now. It don't allow to go next on message "couldn't sign in ...... try again or connect to another wi-fi wifi network" As i tried on my S6 Plus. You have only option of going back and try again.
