Hi, sir; I really appreciate your effort in making this video. I have one small question regarding cold crystallization; I still need clarification. When a sample undergoes a cooling process during DSC analysis, it will have an exothermic reaction (releasing heat), giving us the delta Hc. It is being heated, reaching the point where melting happens, and is called Tm. However, what does cold crystallization mean?

Cold crystallization, occurs when a polymer is reheated after being cooled below its glass transition temperature (Tg) but before it reaches its melting temperature (Tm). In this scenario, the polymer's molecular chains, previously in a disordered amorphous state, gain mobility upon heating. This increased mobility allows for further molecular orientation and the formation of new crystalline structures, resulting in another exothermic peak on the DSC curve on other hand, hot crystallization occurs when a polymer transitions from a molten state to a crystalline state as it cools down.

Hi sir, I am Siva from Scotland. I would like to know will the percentage of crystallinity formula also applicable for composite materials. How to find pure crystallinity of the composite materials from the table?

Then it is different equation, Weight fraction of the filler is subtracted from the enthalpy of 100 % crystalline matrix polymer. Refer the following paper: Procedure for evaluating the crystallinity from X-ray diffraction scans of High and Low Density Polyethylene/SiO2 Composites A. Sami 1, E. David 1 and M. Fréchette2
