Glad I found this video. I just ordered some silicone and now I have a clear idea of how much material to accurately use. On some of my master models, I will have steel pins sticking out of them, so I'll have to account for that. EDIT: I should measure the inside volume of my mould box, not the outside, especially if you're using wood

does this change for a gang mold? like say you have 6 disc shapes in a rectangle mold. Would you multiply the l w and h of the 1 model by 6? then subtract from the dimensions of the container?

I have an extremely odd shaped piece that has voids in, how would I calculate for that? Make the mold box and put the item in the box and then fill with water?
