False premise. On this basis a car stops on ice as quick as tarmac. Frictional coefficient between the tyres and road is essential. This is theoretical math, not real world.

@@Gsnaidthat’s all factored into the function given for s(t) and v(t). The question could’ve asked work out a function, s(t) that takes into account a car that is 2000kg and has new ceramic brakes. Then solve a and b. But because the function is already given it is already taken into account. Try not to be a clown and think you’re being smart
