Thats good my problem is bought caustic soda measured in a (peak milk) tin ...i was given 1 tin ... how many tins of plam oil will i use and how many tins of water will i use to soak the caustic for making a soap

Good question? 1. It's not everyone that have access to the internet always 2. It's not everyone that knows how to use soap recipe calculator. 3. Soap recipe calculator is online calculator while saponification value is done manually. 4. If you had studied both very well, soap recipe calculator and saponification value gives the amount of caustic soda and potassium hydroxide to saponify an amount of oil.

If you are using Sap value you have to calculate in gram. If you want to convert to litres, measure in gram and pour in a caliberated cup or jug to be sure of the measurements in litres.
