Good afternoon, have you thought about creating a stripped-down version for Mac like CalMAN Home? Not for commercial use? This would be very relevant due to the large-scale use of Apple equipment and considering that more and more colorists, operators, etc. are working on site with the same MacBook... I understand that I can go to a professional who has Calman Ultimate, but I myself have knowledge of profiling and have a sample X-rite Display pro I would really like to customize my MacBook but it is very out of reach for the average user =(

can you use patterns with lg home? i'm trying to calibrate an LG Oled C2 tv, thanks

While you could use Patterns to calibrate any type of display, it is important to remember that Patterns is not just testing the display, but the system; therefore, it is taking Apple’s Color Management into account. At the time of this writing, our recommendation is to only use Patterns with displays built-in to or connected to your Mac. For example, if you were going to use your LG OLED as a display connected to your Mac, Patterns would be the only generator available to ensure that the LG is optimized for the Mac output and the color spaces you’re working in- both SDR and HDR. If your LG OLED is connected to another source, such as a UHD Blu-ray player, we recommend using either the built-in test pattern generator or an external generator such as our VideoForge Pro: store.portrait.com/pattern-generators/videoforge-pro-with-add-ons-803.html

Hi, I watched this video and I saw you using a Macbook for the calibration. Does Calman work on a aMacbook Pro? I thought it only worked on a windows PC. Please let me know. Thanks

Please lower the price of Calman, your pricing is really prohibitive for those of us wanting to calibrate our Apple displays.

@@JonPais are you? In order to calibrate an XDR, you have to pay $3,000 for Calman ultimate, PLUS the Patterns application which is an extra $120. This is before the cost of the calibration hardware. The pricing is absurd. Not to mention Calman doesn’t even work in MacOS, so you’ll have to buy a Windows virtual machine software to even run it if you are Mac based.

@@juliobrogan4512 No, their consumer products go for around USD $145.00 (or less). I don’t believe I can post a link here, but you can use Calman Home for LG, for example.

@@JonPais I’m aware of the cheaper Calman for Home LG TV products. As I said, there’s no product allowing me to calibrate my XDR that is under $2K.
