As a colorado native, I must not need your assistance. Called in 5 bulls and 9 hunters just opening week. 3 hunters were with my cow calls. Hahaha love seeing the disappointment on their face. I also like to call them into the worst down fall I can. Good times, great entertainment!

The best thing about Dirk is he is hilarious %60 of the time all the time! Dirk has fun and that is pretty cool that he can good around A LOT but be a serial elk killer at the same time! Glad Phelps hired him so we get to see him a LOT more than just his previous cameos!

I’m a first timer I just picked up archery hunting at 50 years old, I have two bucks under my belt…… I am thinking about going for an elk… Do elk only bugle during the rut?

I've always wondered, even though turkey diaphragm calls aren't designed to be used this way, could they be used with the tube for elk calling? Maybe in a pinch type of situation?
@THEBUGLERBRAND3 жыл бұрын
The first diaphragms used for calling elk were actually turkey calls. That being said, the latex doesn’t respond real well to elk calling, but isn’t totally out of the question.

Whenever I try to hit the high note it goes quiet or distorts or gets stuck at a lower note
@jacknelson1563 жыл бұрын
Push harder w tongue and try different air pressures from diaphragm 👍
@THEBUGLERBRAND3 жыл бұрын
Tongue pressure and air pressure could help in your scenario, but it sounds like you have played with that a lot. You may want to experiment with a few different diaphragms. Not to sound like a sales pitch, but the new Hush diaphragms hit that high note really well. They have a very tight stretch that lends to higher pitched calling

Diaphragm positioning. Try to slide it forward

I'll bet he has used a blade of grass Be careful out there I don't sound that good and been so rounded by doods ready to shoot through the brush and even an elk ready to mowe me down

A fantastic toutorial guys. At 87 I’m learning a lot . So much in fact that the local police 👮♀️ have come to my house with their blue lights flashing asking me if l’m ok..So I’m up to my club practicing and the volume across the water 💦 is loud . I’m psyched with my external tube …Thank you!! A new knee coming up this fall and I’ll be good to go for 2022..It’s a long ways from the flatlands of Massachusetts to the mountains of Colorado. Hushin and BRO are the best ..Oh !!!I I almost forgot Dirk ..YOU ARE THE BEST !!
