SimplySoccer do you think my training plan is good. Here it is. Mondays- Thursdays 1 hour, Friday a rest day when i can just kick ball against a wall, Saturdays and Sundays. Which is 10 hours of practice. Is that good

Before I play a match, the only words that are going through my head is "Progress, not perfection", which basically means that do what you gotta do in the moment instead of trying to do everything perfectly, because if you try & do everything perfectly, you'll end up making yourself tired twice as fast, you would try to do too much & it wont help you at all. Thats why I go by the words "Progress, not perfection". It really helps me & I will make a mistake or 2 at times but that just shows I have more room for progress.

I understand that's a fear, but it's something you have to move beyond. There will always be those negative people, you just have to tune them out but also recognize when it's straight abuse or constructive criticism. You can't become a good player without taking some risks.

My advice.. Everytime when u want to receive the ball check your back for second. U need an info wheather the opponents pressing you or not and u need to know where your teamates are. So u can make a decison better.. Always check your back!

When I first start my training session, it was hard and I found it difficult because of me overthinking everything, But half an hour into training I seem to be playing ALOT better because of being tired and too exhausted to think so I approve this video xD

funny thing is during indoor when I'm defending I do better when I am nervous about messing up it helps me defend better for whatever reason (but It hurts me in real 11 v 11 games when I'm in the midfield)

reason I get nervous on defense is because I'm much smaller and slower than everyone because I'm 2-3 years younger than everyone ( but it helps me concentrate on every touch they make and keeps me from messing up when 1 on 1 with an attacker on my indoor team)

That's the spirit. Focus on what you do have control over. I used to play in an older age group when I was younger and it not only taught me how to use my body more effectively, but to also use the ball better.

Soccer Boy it might be because in indoor it's much easier to recover from a mistake especially closer to the back, but in 11-a-side each mistake it more grave so you feel alot more fearful

I use to be really nervous on the ball and always tried to keep opponents far from me but then I realized that it's not that hard to keep the ball when opponents are close. now I personally love being really close to opponents with the ball. all I do is use my arms, legs and body to cover/protect the ball. it's really not that hard.

Before I didn't use to practice on my skills so as a player I was quite limited when I had the ball in a 1v1 situation, all I could do was just knock the ball away from the player and run but now because I am getting in the order age groups and more has to be required from you I am now practicing to master 4 moves and I am doing it a lot when I am training and because of that I am starting to do it in matches , but I still have to do more of the skills in games.

I understood how to play the game better once i snapped my knee ligament. I got to appreciate the game better too. Always think a second ahead to compensate for my bad knee and can still compete against good opposition. (Until my knee snaps out of place again). Practice and then controlling your mental state are the two things that will get you very far.

Thanks for the video. Most players suffer from this problem so we do appreciate the message. It's difficult to get rid of the nervousness because most people have to choose between fight or flight in all situations. Many struggle to control the fear.

I watched you're video on engaging in soccer a couple of days before my game on Saturday. It helped a lot!! Even though I made some blunders I didn't let those blunders discourage me because I engaged in the game rather than focusing on not making another mistake. Thanks for the advice !

sel 7 watch the other team with the ball and read who is open im the captain of my jv soccer defense at cdm and when the other team is converging from lets say a goal kick or a free kick in their own half stand just 5 feet behind a player or farther if you are fast and jump in front of them if they are passed too let them think they are open and also never lunge for a tackle

I think i have a tip for you in matches. before 2 seconds when getting the ball, look around your teammates and immediately pass them the ball, or just practice always, the more you play football, you aprove more and more, and even could become an absolute pro. You should practice EVERYTHING( sorry for sounding kinda rough😥) but practice mostly your dribling skills and passing accuracy. Hope it helps❤

hey bro, i have a tip. play simple first that is simple passes then you will slowly gain confidence in match. the more successful passes, cross, shot you make the more confidence you will get.after you have the confidence you can start to play your style and do the tricks you’ve practiced and possibly nutmeg some people.

@@nigelcaoilephang6052 yes I agree with you because what a lot of people get nervous about including me is that you want to look good in front of other people so you end up doing skill moves and ultimately choke. Just do the simple passes and shots because what's the point in doing a cool skill move that you can't pull off.

I always think too much during game situations and I end up making myself so anxious it gets a little hard to breathe and stand upright. I’ve been getting much better with this issue but I’m trying to hard to get over it entirely since I’m still a little frantic on the ball. Thanks for the video it helped a lot

I am not confident in my passing ,recieving and decision making I get nervous when I get the ball.How i am gonna fix it is now that i am injured, in my visualization focus more in this area and also analyze matches and pause the game when they recieve the ball and try to predict what they will do.When i am healthy practise against a wall [buy the passing and recieving mastery programme or use videos from youtube].Also remember to check my shoulder before I recieve the ball and lastly be decisive, do not overthink!

Practice is definitely a necessity in building confidence on the pitch. I know what definitely helped me to improve a great deal is image training. Imagine any possible scenario thats happened or could happen and act out how you would react to that scenario. I did this for a lot of moments that cost me in games and eventually I was able to move about and react naturally like it was second nature. But yes, PRACTICE PRACTICE PRACTICE! Practice alone and practice with other (preferably those of a higher skill level)
