I use text to describe what I do and composed the background music for each tool section to differentiate them. Wandering was it a good choice and does it work for everyone. What do you think? Would it be better to have a voice over instead or just text and music works fine for everyone? Thanks for the feedback :)

text and music are good because I'm french and it's more easy to read text.

I personally prefer voiceovers.

I think the voice over works better for me just because it think you deploy more information. The music was a nice touch. About HDR, my camera is a bit worse than yours, canon 700D cmos with I assume less dinamic range, in any case: How did you get into that number of brackets? I mean, where did you stop seeing improvement in information? I have made some test (although with only a 18mm lens in a cmos there are so many more pictures) and usually I make maybe two more brackets in the overexposure side. Also, What are your thoughts about merging hdr before ptgui? BTW, the affinity app is awesome. Once again, great videos and thanks for sharing.

Text is fine, but it spends too much time dissolving and not enough being readable.

Thanks for this video! I know this is an old video and Affinity is now in v2. But one thing I wonder. Is Affinity aware that the image is a 360 image? Because if you touch clarity, dehaze, sharpening or anything else in Lightroom, or Photoshop, on a 360 equirectangular image, you will get terrible seams. I tried to spot them in your finished image, but I couldn't tell with 720p video. Might be time to test Affinity. 360 degree projection, 32 bit workflow sounds nice.
@GrzegorzBaranArt7 күн бұрын
Hey Alex, I didnt have any issues with seams in Affinity. If you get into my Artstation profile you should find some of these HDRI maps there. You can even download some for free :). I planned to make them all free but didnt have time to make it www.artstation.com/gbaran hope that helps :), cheers!

What computer configuration do you use to do this kind of work? Nice workflow! Thanks for share!
@GrzegorzBaranArt5 жыл бұрын
Regarding to computer I used.. its was nothing special. Windows 10 with i-7 7700 and 16GB 320MHz RAM and GF1080 on board. Didn't have any performance issues with this configuration so I believe it can be done easily even on something less efficient. Thanks, anytime :)

I come again on this video cause I have a question, I assuming this kind of 360 hdri can be used for a skydome map in a game engine ? I'm not very familiar with that. Do you know if I need to crop the bottom of the hdri map with black or change something else ?
@GrzegorzBaranArt5 жыл бұрын
It depends on the game engine and how you want to use it. I would check Brian Adams artstation: www.artstation.com/delta307. The background you might think about are not HDRI backgrounds as they would be too expensive. Those 360 HDRI maps are usually useful for 360 prop preview and renders and their main functionality is to bring real lighting and reflections for environments and propping (example: marmoset toolbag ). But can be used in any modern game engine like Unity or Unreal

What's the first piece of guitar music on the video?

Something I composed by myself using Music Maker and set of gypsy samples I bought while ago to compose background music for my videos :)

Is PTGui the best for 360 stitching?
@GrzegorzBaranArt4 жыл бұрын
As far as I know yes, this is the best available stitching app for 360.
@NibblyBitz4 жыл бұрын
@@GrzegorzBaranArt Cheers was having a few issues with stitching probably just don't know how to use PTGUI might have to rewatch your tutorial and PTGUI official ones.
@GrzegorzBaranArt4 жыл бұрын
@@NibblyBitz No worries, happens, especially with lack of coverage or when the background changes too much during the capture and initial image doesnt match the last one (lighting/clouds/background elements etc.) but PTGui have tools to deal with that, I would consider adding key points manually, define straight lines, define the horizon line better and remove excess points on images with bad scoring. Good luck with stiching :)

So. You set a custom white balance... and _then_ shoot in raw?
@GrzegorzBaranArt4 жыл бұрын
Yeah. I always do. It makes life easier :) and I shot color reference anyway. I correct it later in postproduction software. If you ask me do I have to.. nah, I dont :)
@alexfurer7 күн бұрын
You have to set a custom white balance and shoot all images with the same white balance. Else it's going to be a nightmare. Doesn't matter what you set it to.
