Using a standard security camera to capture license plates is like trying to use a multitool to install that camera. Sure, you might be able to get the job done, but it's not very efficient. Uniview's LPR camera, the HC121@TS8CR-Z, has one purpose and one purpose alone: to capture license plates. And it does this one task really, really well.
Not only can this 2MP 60FPS camera capture clear, motion-blur-free images of passing license plates, but it can also recognize the plate number, convert the number to text, and pull the number into a searchable and filterable database for quick and simple retrieval.

Decided to go with Nelly's as these guys are tops in the industry. Before going with them I called around to 3 or 4 other manufacturers/companies, or attempted to call them. These other companies either wouldn't or couldn't provide me additional information on their own products and weren't willing to provide support after the sale. The Nelly's guys have helped me setup NVR and fix a few minor issues right over the phone.

As a 30 year Integrator, designing and deploying *real* MME products such as AXIS, Avigilon, Hanwha, etc I have to say, the installation of that UNV Turret with the the lack of BB and that exposed cable is quite shoddy. If one of my guys did that, there'd be hell to pay. As for UNV, while they claim to be an NDAA compliant camera, and I have sold a few myself , their VMS is basically a HIKvision clone and I can't say I trust anything "security" from the PRC. The world finally woke up to that PRC run subversive HIK crap. Hanwha (S Korean) "is the way". If people don't wanna break the bank, and have a far superior product, look at the Hanwha "A" series...

All I needed was simple advice on a feature you seemed excited about you said in an email I could not use without an NVR I also found out that was not true and kind of wanted to help you clear that up. They just sent a link that actually went somewhere, and by that time all communications had been cut off at your end anyhow! So thanks for

Because I provided support for whatever anyone brought into my store, it's called customer service. I didn't care where the customer purchased it from and you know what happened when I did that, the customer always came back to me. That is how I was able to build and sell businesses and retire. Let me ask this, why make a public video on a feature if you aren't going to support it and discuss it with people? That is just weird. In this day and age of the internet and especially being a tech company, I'm sure tech people can figure out how to make private videos to share with their customers since that seems to be their only target market!
