That's a beautiful watch. The seiko turtle has such a classic and distinctive look..especially the older model. I love the monochromatic look. I have the newer model prospex, PADI turtle with the Pepsi bezel. A watch I will keep, just love the cushion case and over all style.

Good info. I basically just brush off dirt and use saphir greasy/oily leather cream. Venetian cream if I want something with tiny bit of wax to protect it. If you have a natural finish cxl and don’t want to darken it don’t use mink oil.

I use Saphir Renovateur and it works perfectly for greasy/oiled leather boots. It gives a bit of shine, but after few days of drying, boots start to look natural and rugged just like I like them to look :D

Man those Eagle Countys have some strange creasing. Almost like my Beckett Simonon shoes, which are not of the best leather. Those Thursdays look just like my Iron Rangers, pretty impressive. I use mink oil on mine, gives them that nice buttery glow. Thanks for more videos, you’re a life saver.

Great video! Speaking of Thursday, I recently got their rugged and resilient burnt copper Vanguards. I decided to try conditioning with neetsfoot oil before wearing them out, but all it seemed to do was take off some pigment in the areas I applied it. Any idea what happened or where I should go from here? I was intending to make them resistant to rain and maybe darken them up some, but I seem to have only done the opposite.

try mink oil, but use the solid kind. i found some at my local grocery store. its good for making leather more supple, but it gives it a "greasy" feel until its all absorbed, which in my experience takes about 2-3 days. it also darkens the leather significantly, and if you hate it, a good saddle soap takes care of it.

Do you use water with saddle soap? I use warm water to make it foam up like shaving cream. I use two damp cloths to remove the saddle soap. The first cloth, is used to remove as much as I can, and then i rinse it out. The second damp cloth is used as final rinse cycle, to remove the last remnants and traces of saddle soap. I let them dry for several hours, usually 12-24 hours overnight.

Hi Preston. It's Mike from Ohio. I don't have any shoes in Chrome but my wife and I have Saddleback Leather bags in chrome. You're so right on how the leather is very different than veg tanned calfskin on my Allen Edmonds shoes. Have you ever tried "Chamberlains Leather Milk" cleaner/conditioner on Chrome leather? It works great on Chrome. I know you love leather as much as we do, pls check out Saddleback leather Co. and look at the bags. They're amazing. We have a variety of leather bags from them and each piece is phenomenal. My Doctor's overnight bag is my fav in my collection and I just conditioned it this past month with Chamberlains. @@porkorosso7885 If you speak with Horween directly, Renovateur is often recommended for Chromexcel, which is mink oil based, so it would work fine. If it's pure mink oil just make sure not to oversaturate it. The other recommendations, if you care, are Saphir Oiled Leather Cream (used in this video) and Venetian Shoe Cream

I use Venetian Creme on some boots that are made with a pull-up leather and it basically turns into water when I apply it to this leather, it's REALLY weird. Any ideas?

Venetian shoe cream does have a water consistency when applied. I think that’s normal but I don’t personally like it.
