How to Care for Hand Tied Extensions

In my short video, I show you six easy tips for: How to care for hand tied extensions. I'm certified in the Habit Extension Method.
Your 6 Must Know Tips are:
1/ Never go to bed with wet hair. A lot of lake, ocean & pool swimming is a No-No with hand tieds. Additionally, avoid putting yourself in windy situations (motorcycles, boats etc.) Your hair will be a balled up mess.
2/ Be gentle with your front contact points. A silk pillowcase will help with this.
3/ Daily brushing between your Rows with the 'Wet Brush', just like Habit Salon uses.
4/ Always use salon branded products. This is the single most important thing you can do to extend the life of your hand tied hair. Allowing you to wear each batch of hair for many months.
5/ Dry the base of your wefts/rows completely dry. Use Fast speed, medium heat until you are 90% dry, then finish up with a round brush the last 10 minutes at high heat. This will again prolong the life of your extensions.
6/ Avoid over using Dry Shampoo. Excessive Dry shampoo can cause extensions to be brittle & dry out. extensions aren't attached to a scalp blood supply, providing it with moisture & nutrients. It's important to use a hair masque once a month & once every other week as your extensions get towards 6-9 months - to put moisture back into the extensions.
