I just want to thank you. I found a plant almost dead at the 99cent store outside in the summer sun of Los Angeles. I had no idea of what a succulent was at the time. The size of a quarter 2 years ago today. Now she is just over flows a 4 inch pot. I absolutely love her. The information you gave made me feel much better. Guessing and estimated by her looks have kept her alive and loved.

Great info. Mine was outside and we have been having heat waves in southern CA. I’ve observed that my cooperi is looking kinda brownish tint when at the nursery it was green. I brought it inside today because I like the green color more. Thank you!!

This plant reminds of my cymbiformis var obtusa. Mine appears a bit stretched out as well... however it was really shruken in my south windows(all i have) and when I moved it out of the windowsill and onto a plant rack in front of the window it pupped out for the first time and looks soooo much healthier. But at the same time more stretched out. So sometimes even though they arent as compact I think they may be happier.( I sort of commented on what you said in the video and the comment below me. :) I cant wait until my plant is full like yours. It looks like its loving life!

Hi there I wish I found your website sooner but will be glued to it from now on. It is a problem to find pumice in South Africa could you recommend something else perhaps. What if I use perlite and river stones instead?

Hi Reinette! I think I might have a good answer for you! My friend, Erin, sells a fantastic mix for Haworthias. Her shop is on Etsy and it’s called Little Emerald Thumb. I’ll try to find a link and put it in a comment below. Hope this helps!

How long have you had them? They are so nice and full with lots of babies. Just curious how long it would take to get that size.

Hey Ginger 831! I don't know for sure how long I have had these plants. I usually write the date on the back of my plant tags and didn't on this one. That kind of thing drives me crazy :/ Anyway, I don't suppose that helps you too much, sorry! Mercy, peace and love be multiplied to you.

Hi! I love Haworthia Cooperis, but sadly I already killed one. I purchased another one, same as your variety, but it's in a cactus mix and I don't know if it's good 'cause leaves have started losing moisture. I'm afraid to overwater it but it looks underwatered. The roots seem to be kinda ok, but probably the fact that they're sticking out in the air means they lack oxygen? (Heard it from my mum, who has had that problem with her orchids). Probably I left it in the sun out too much, but since I moved it in a shadier place, the leaves seem to have lost even more moisture. Also, I just noticed that some of the babies around have started having a bit of browning. Basicly, help. I don't know how not to kill this baby 🙈

Hi Lina! Let’s see. I haven’t answered quickly enough and I hope your plant is still doing ok 🤞. Could you head over to my FB page and post some pics? It would be helpful if I could see what we’re working with. Best of luck, my friend! (My FB page is just Liquidambar Girl).

@@LiquidambarGirlGardening Hi! Happily for me, it seems that it was in fact too much sun. Now it's feeling ok and I found an adequate water schedule. Thanks 🌸

Using all pumice, what is your fertilizing schedule?
@LiquidambarGirlGardening6 жыл бұрын
Hi Aqua lady, thanks for the question. To answer it, I fertilize every other watering with succulent specific fertilizer. I usually mix the fertilizer at half strength and fertilize my Haworthias from February 1st until about the beginning of September. Hope this helps! Mercy, peace and love be multiplied to you.

👌Thanks a bunch. I'm going to repot my 2 Haworthias when my pumice arrives. I've already killed one. With your advice, I'm looking forward to collecting more haworthias, as I'm very fascinated by then!

I have had one of these for about a year now. It’s always done great, but suddenly the leaves seem deflated. HELP! I would hate to lose it.

Hi Stormi! Could you comment the timestamp so I know which plant you are wanting?

The most interesting of Haworthia come from China and Japan. Forget local nurseries in the states- at best you'll find "zebra" or some cooperi. I've been purchasing from Etsy retailers overseas, and aside from shipping, the per plant cost is generally less than local retailers. My Haworthia collection has grown by leaps- when addiction is therapeutic. :)
