Thank you for showing those, I had Just helped my aeae today i tryed preserving the emerging leafs but pealing the stem the weight of the older leaf was too much and did broke Itself that helped the center emerging leaf which was already growing out of Place making a curve, to liberate her tip, now I Will monitor the new leaf and if It wont grow streight i Will apply your technique. Thank you for showing this method.

Mine was not doing well when I got it from Lidl n it is summer time in Malta, giving it water but it's still not happy, does it need lots of water or less? I will try to cut it back as you explained in your video hope to save it ❤

My young Musa Sikkimensis was only a foot high when winter came and knocked it back, so it’s currently invisible. I’m guessing it may be dead, but hoping not. If it’s alive, should I expect to see growth in the next few weeks? I’m in southern Scotland, so obviously spring comes a bit later here than down where you are. I’m just wondering how long I should wait before giving up and perhaps buying a replacement. Thanks!

I bought one on ebay at about 10' high. U der a tenner. It is now 3.5 foot in a pot. Cannot decide where to put it for Winter( Cornwall so definitely Warmer). Maybe the garage but I lost a lovely red ensette last year in the garage. I hope you managed to save your's. Sad as it is when they die they do shoot up from small plants. can be grown .🌴

Cannas don't grow quite the same as Musa bananas. But they will certainly tolerate a chop.

Can this method be used on ensete maurelii too?

Yes, but ensete have a thicker trunk so it can be easier just to carefully cut away each leaf until you reach healthy growth in the centre.
