Good job, you should have added some sound deadening to the wheel arches and side panel. It makes a big difference to the road noise

Hi yes the carpet we ordered from vandalised on eBay came with longer trim clips. I’m sure they sell them on their own too

Thanks! We used recycled plastic bottle insulation. We usually get this from b&q but they had sold out. So we got this stuff off amazon

I don't think carpeting is the same as insulation. It'll still get very cold or hot. You might want to use something like ArmaFlex.

Yeah I agree insulation is always better, in a small van like a caddy we are trying to save space. The carpet stops the metal work forming condensation and makes the van feel more cosy. We will also be fitting a diesel heater for those cold winter nights

What stage would you be putting electrics in? Before carpeting?

On this conversion we ran the wiring after we carpeted and then connected it all up as the units went in

We ordered 20sqm as we had to carpet the poptop and we need some left over for the roof bed. I believe you can get away with 10sqm in a caddy maxi though

Thanks! We have done the panels on the back doors. But we wont be doing the metal work as it's hard to get a neat finish and we think the blue metal work looks great contrasting

The van has got some insulation. If you were to sufficiently insulated a caddy you wouldn't have any space inside

It's waisting your time and money for carpet , if you didn't insulated side windows panels and wheel arches. It only look nice - only benefit for you.
