The best feeling as a Sup Main is... when you're ADC flames you and cries, you leave him, are 0-0-9 10 minutes later, win the game for this useless ADC and get 3 honors... because everyone on your team except the stupid ADC realized how well you are playing... This reminds me of my good old bronze games like 7 years ago... where the focus in the chat often drifted from "Report the support for inting." or "Report bot" to just "report the ADC"...

The best feeling as an ADC main is having a hyper passive support do nothing in lane and have you go down 30-50 cs and maybe even some deaths. Then after lane where they have less agency you double their kill participation and carry your team despite the wannabe babysitter. So you can ask them why and watch the excuses post game.

Draven's Axes are actually really demanding, so it's not actually out of the realm. It's often the other ADC's, with really simple kit pieces to play around, that have a really bad autopilot.

Laners want a million ganks and think the jungler is supposed to save their lane and junglers think spending any time on a losing lane is entirely lost. playing with an adc is like babysitting an entitled teenager. They don't know what's the correct play but still have a big ego so we cannot ping or chat at them or they will afk. Also, whenever they fuck up, it's never their fault and we have to grit our teeth, face palm, and type "mb" to satisfy them to keep them in the game.

Nah sometimes you just have to make them afk cuz they can easily destroy an engage or give an opportunity for the enemies to start an objective. I have won many 4v5 ranked games while being support and my adc being afk. It's sad that these people don't get any good punishments and get either a chat ban or have to wait only 20 mins to go destroy another ranked game rather than getting an at least 10 days ban from any ranked game mode but we have to deal with them

@@jlk4894 sameeee. it's annoying tho because some of my best games are when I'm support. my fav game yet is when I can distinctly remember having such a good ADC I didn't have to ping. they did the communicating. they didn't get mad at me. they were able to self-sustain and was wrecking shit up. I could roam. I felt useful. I was able to keep them alive (I love supports because there's just a satisfaction of keeping my team alive and letting them get amazing kills or plays) and see them actually become the carry for once. I don't enjoy a lot of adc champs. the only one I go to when I get stuck with it is ezreal.

I always remember that one, I've done stole blue from the enemy jungler (red side), two perfect gank bot + Drake at 5m, I was like 3/0/1. Perfect early, jungle won. I back and was about to come topside to reclean jungle and maybe gank top. I didn't even had the time to get there that my toplaner was already flaming me for "doing nothing" in the game and being "useless". People like to blame their error on other way too much

Roaming as Pyke is pretty good. Even if your ADC sucks, you can help Mid and Jungle get fed with dragon and kills. Plus you get tons of gold with your ulti, so you can do more dmg, than your weak adc.

@@supremebohnenstange4102 In general it's best for a jg or support to be ganking lanes that are doing well. A gank to a lane doing well is more likely to result in a kill for your team and you getting an assist. Ganking a bot which is doing bad is more risky, you might get a couple of kills and relieve some pressure, but it's probably just as likely to result in 3 kills for the enemy adc. So the general rule is to stick with the safer more reliable play. I.e. gank your feed lanes

I think many adcs think they know what they're doing and wont listen to you. Obviously your usually not a challenger, so you will make some false decisions too, which are going to upset the adc -> he wont listen to you anymore. Plus the Ego is often to high, to let themselves be "carried" in early game

Depends on the situation (what lane matchup it is) but if you are able to help them fast push the wave to crash into tower then you should, even if you think it's bad. Once your ADC has already started to auto the wave the bounce is ruined and you have to shove it. Again it depends on the situation, not every time will you be able to fast push the wave that close to their tower. Also the reason your ADC is greeding without vision could be they're close to gold for an item (noonquiver, pickaxe, or completed item) and it would be bad for them to base when they only need one wave of gold.

Honestly I've had good success with this, but at the same time, I get flamed super hard by everyone to not do it "because supports need to be bot all laning phase", and it just becomes a very uncomfortable match. There's even been instances where my adc would just afk in fountain the moment I left for a roam. Sucks being a supp main in gold x___x

Another important factor is how hard the enemy lane can engage. If the enemy lane has very hard to avoid engage (e.g. Ashe + Bard), or can tower dive easily (post 6 Leona/Alistair), then any roams are likely to result in further feed from your adc. However, it is much safer to roam if the enemy has weak engage (e.g. Janna + Ez).

Tips if you want the jungler to come: A simple assistance ping when they are in the area can do wonders. It communicates clearly, but dont spam it when they are the opposite side of the map, then it just seems like flaming them for not being bot

So one of many incidents that happened to me: 1) I killed enemy adc because my adc was low, I was afraid he/she would die 2) I get flamed 3) next scenario both adc’s low, enemy adc just one hit in bush 4) I warded and did not finish enemy adc on purpose 4) MY ADC SOMEHOW GETS KILLED 5) adc flames me for not finishing adc to save him/her.... Half of playing adc or support is trying to understand how your partner plays. You have to sus out as fast as possible if you can actually rely on them, and if you can't, then just don't go for any plays that would require them to play perfectly. It sucks but it is what it is

I have been watching ya vids on youtube and they have helped. I have a better understanding of what plays are correct. However had a pyke who miss played into a larger wave after I had pushed and backed. He got taunted by galio and instantly died to 2 waves worth of minions. Then flamed and tried to roam. I tried to communicate that we should freeze, wait for the jun to gank but he hard tilted and roamed lvl 3 around the map and honestly. Got some kills but by the 3rd drake fight he was 3 lvls behind. Nearly carried the game by picking up the insane amounts of side farm that they left behind and getting a lvl advantage. This may sound like a doom and gloom post but honestly old me would have tilted along with them because I saw no path to victory. I still lost, got flamed and I think reported but we almost won that. If I had been better at farming in the early stages of the game. I would have hit that item spike 5 mins earlier and carried. Thanks for chucking ya vids on youtube, its really helped.

I duo with my brother who's an adc main, and he always gets supports trying to all in while he's low on resources or try to get to his level 6 spike (he one-tricks Xayah) in other words we're experiencing a lot of tilted supports complaining about how he doesn't know how to auto or position, looking at some of those replays tells me that yes, sometimes the support is right, but most often are just eager to fight (even though they are being slow pushed into) I just wanted to tell you support mains to play around your adcs strengths and try to identify whether or not it was the adcs fault... Or yours.

Thanks for the tip about Pinging. I want my ADC to freeze because we need to wait for JG to kill the scuttle first then allow a pincer maneuver when the enemy are near our turret, but I pinged too much and my ADC is typing in the middle of the lane and died. At lower Eli's even if you freeze, it's rare for the jungler to come down. Against Xerath it's almost a death sentence to play under your tower if your support isn't proactive or jungler doesn't come.

Lately I was matched with a Jinx, I picked Lulu as we also had Master Yi so if anything I'd have a hyper carry in my team. We were up against Lux and Jhin, obviously, their duo deals more damage than ours early on. Sadly my adc forced all ins early on which resulted in her getting killed a few times and being very behind. I saw our Master Yi was doing relatively well despide making one bad call for drake early, so after the laning phase was over I abandoned ship and tried to stay near Master Yi, which ofc resulted in him wiping out their team a few times and winning us game. Still, the adc would flame me that I wasn't helping her and left her alone while she was splitpushing not participating in teamfights... Eh.

What mages can choose between damage and utility? Vel'koz and Lux are strictly damage, Karma and Lulu are strictly utility, and most of the others are either strange or engage supports.

A) youre probably not staying in line with your adc, if youre too far ahead, or ahead at all, the odds of them reacting AND reaching the enemy before the enemy just runs are low to nothing. B) see A C) yeah this sucks

I play a fair amount of Braum at the moment and similar to b, the number of times adcs die because they refuse to auto to get the last stack on his passive for the stun is surprisingly high in my elo at least.

Min 2:20 -> You cant try to hard push and cheat recall, since its very early in the game and they instant revive. Therefore, u can see at 2:26 Xerath already back in lane. Hardpushing wouldve been just them farming safely undertower, both of the enemy heroes can do that easy.

I main support and secondary ADC and i live and die by proper wave management, I play with auto attacks off which is slightly inefficient sometimes but its something id like to see sometimes when i get supports that sit there and auto the wave when i have a perfect freeze set up

10:03 wouldn't be needed if ADCs discorved using wards themselves. It takes less than 5s to go up and place a ward to help yourself from a gank than depending on your support to roam down and do it for you.

Draven hard shoved when you claim he did not. Then the freeze was ruined by the wave overshooting into your turret which one can prevent by thinning out the wave a bit in time, which was exactly what draven did .... kinda sad to see wave management 'explained' by making the guy doing it correctly out to be the 'bad example'.

Yeah, that thing is called the Dunning-Kruger Effect, and it happens pretty often IRL too, but most often you'll see it in gaming. And I'm gonna be honest, I think it happens to pretty much everyone (maybe not to everyone, but like 95% of people rather). Even I had moments where I messed up once or twice, but I was still mainly thinking about our teammate's mess ups (I didn't type or spam ping because of it though). And I'm not an egoist or a toxic person or anything like that, but this is just how the human brain works. You only look at your possible mistakes after looking through everybody else's. And it's important to try to fix this thing. It's a hard process, but it will definitely pay off in the long run (I've been trying my best to fix it too, and it's absolutely worth it). On the other hand there are people who actively flame and insult their teammates in chat, if things are going badly. Those guys are either: a - jerks that didn't have good parents (cus they let him become a jerk) or b - they're just too stupid (or too tilted) to realize that flaming makes your teammates play worse (cus it tilts them) and c - it could just be both.

I play Lux support, because in case your adc sucks, you can build full AP and leave the enemy with a tiny bit of HP to basically spoon-feed the guy.

Support is the most frustrating role to climb with. When you push the wave the adc gets angry because he loses minions he fails to last hit. When you leave the adc after pushing the wave to deep ward the enemy jungle, they instantly get collapsed on because they can't play safe for 10 sec because autoing the tower 2 times is worth risking your life for. But the most annoying thing about playing support is that late game your adc that you babysit and fed for the entire game gets cocky and goes solo laning or goes frontline, instantly getting killed and now you lost the game because your main carry is dead.

I'm in plat and I see this on a daily basis. When they are pushing bot at 30 minutes while baron is up and you ping danger 3 times and assistance in midlane/on Baron 3 times and they just won't come. Then when 3 people collapse on them they go "wtf support you are supposed to support me, I need to farm". All I can think then is: yeah, I supported you for the first 15 minutes, now I need to support the team. It's so fucking disgusting, it made me create a new account so I can go back to my old main role which is jungle. Still a shitty role because people will blame you all the time but at least I have some freedom then. To be fair to adc's though, it's the shittiest role right now. ADC can never solo carry a game. Every other role can, but even a 20/0/0 ADC can not hard-carry unless the skillgap is so insanely big that it's likely one of them challenger smurfs. But most of the time an adc needs one other fed member to protect them or draw attention. Meanwhile a 20/0/0 Vlad, Kat, Hecarim, Jax, or something similar will just run in and instakill all the damage dealers and will instantly end the teamfight. I've been playing some carry supports bottom as well and when my adc is doing really poor I can sometimes 1v2 the lane if I get a few kills early on. Literally just need my adc to be a distraction.

I think ADC can also be pretty frustrating. As well as jungler. I am adc Main but do play supp as my secondary role. And as supp i can support the team and make sure to have wards out. As adc and your supp sucks it is hard to carry. And even when you are 7/0/2 and a Garen 5/2/3 runs at you you are basically dead. Cause a fed toplaner kinda always wins against a fed alone adc. At least I do

@@strenghsGirl Yeah, ADC have always been in a weird spot. Almost every other fed laner or jungle can kill you and you often need your team to protect you to be useful. That's why I always think that instead of pushing most of ADC power to late game, it should be spread out more evenly across the whole game.

i was supporting a aphelios a few days ago and he was falling behind by the enemy adc rlly bad in early game and the enemy team was shit talking my adc and i just said hes probably learning adc. mid to late game he had almost 30 kills and carried the whole team and easily outscaled the enemy adc who was talking shit. we had a failed ff before aphelios started outscaling when they made it to the beginning of our base but the aphelios carried the whole team to win when the enemy team was sure they got a victory.

Good tips. At the moment my most common problem with adcs in low plat is that they refuse to rotate and die on bot while we're making plays around mid. Although prev season in high plat they did rotate often. Of course giving up too early is also common for any teammate. By the time the enemy team throw with baron we may be too far behind. (Or surrender 4/1)

Why are you making plays mid which you can't win without your adc? If the adc can safely be farming solo bot then it's a better safer bet for them to be doing most of the time. Sure if you can win plays mid without them go ahead, but otherwise just play safe and let your adc keep up with the solo farm and scaling. By going mid with you they might get a kill, but will be sharing experience and gold, and it's a roll of the dice. Solo farm bot is largely guaranteed xp and gold and is the safer call.

@@nic.h So one example: We lost lane, they took turret. I call for a rotation and go to establish vision around mid. My adc goes to bot, pushes the wave and dies, while we kill the top-/midlaner. The enemy gets bot turret, we take top/mid turret. Or we just retreat. This keeps repeating. Another example: We won lane, took turret, I call for rotation. We kill the enemy midlaner, but the adc starts splitpushing bot while we're taking herald. He dies, the enemy adc goes from 0/2, half amount of cs to completely equal gold.

@@kristofkovacsRisy I can certainly envision the scenarios. Sounds like your team was doing fine without the adc there in general. I'm assuming the adc was warded, and it was a case of they choose to fight enemy adc one on one and lost, rather than them being surprised with a gank. I could understand if they were a couple of kills up why they might choose to take a one on one. Once the lane was contested it becomes more risky to stay and they probably should have backed and rotated at that point or called for a play on enemy adc if they kept pushing. But up until it was contested the solo farm is still the safest gold and xp option. Although sounds like they should have definitely been mid in the second case as solo farm was there and it was nearer the team in case you needed help with the objective or they needed support. Pretty common scenario, and frustrating when they are ignoring pings.

The first question asked what to do with the wave I think is wrong.. why back when you have no gold to spend and at full hp? That wave was shoving back to blue side tower and jinx died lvl 1 without any exp.. just freeze it outside of turret range and play aggro on the jinx who is going to be a level down. Also the video didn't show that Draven was even a part of the jinx kill.. so again why would he back? He has nothing to back for with full hp. Shoving the wave only gives jinx an opportunity to farm for free.

At 3:30 you gave up 6 minions for a kill on the support. Is that really the right call? I think the jungler should have waited until the freeze was closer, but I don't know how many of your own minions got wiped as most of the enemy minions were targeting you both.

I'm playing in iron/bronze _(fresh player, not much a games played)_ . When I see I'm useless on the lane because my adc is passive/bad and lane go a bad way, after I buy upgraded boots, I try help another lanes. Bad thing is, your plays never be in statistics consider as good plays, instead of that, you be reported by adc for "trolling". One example of my gameplay was in the game when was adc bad. On the level 5 I left lane, warded drake, went to mid to haras Yasuo, to make him hide under tower _(to make mid laner gold and HP lead)_ , then I went to top, bait ult from Mordekaiser's and abilities and even I died for that, top laner killed him _(because he had all abilities rdy)_ , then he pushed the lane, took 1 plate, meanwhile Morde lost XP and adc get xp lead and did no died because he played more safe. May be I'm new and I dont know value, but in my mind I consider example of my plays as better rather than stand on bot as dummy and be also useless.

I got flamed so bad in a game yesterday because my Aphelios adc kept pushing fights we had no chance of winning, and then saying I was no help. Why would I go in with you just to die? As Lulu at lvl 3/4 I cant do much damage but I used all my support abilities on him and he still couldn't get a kill or get out. What more can I do? He had died about 5 times before I died once.

I tried this tip before, both bot and mid laners tilted. Several times. Yesterday I was even flamed for removing the first turret because "I killed all his farm". He was on base. It is so hard to climb as support... 3 out fo 10 games I managed to correctly roam and ward. 3 out of 10 opponents are better. The other 4 is coin flip between inters, flamers, whiners, afk'ers.

I thought that I was a bad player until I had to lane with an adc that was literally a beginner that was supposed to play against bots. They were premade with the jungler. I was a Soraka, I couldn't do shit the whole laning phase because the adc would just sit back under tower at all times cause they were scared... I told the jungler to either play support for them themselves or take them to play against bots. It was so annoying.
