Video could not be more perfect: concise, incredibly simple, explains the technique beautifully. This channel is a gold mine.

Hi Malcolm, I just wanted to say thank you for the course. I have almost worked my way through all the content and just wanted to give a quick mention of the section “Up Unweighted vs Down Unweighted” and the comment you made of “I’m kind of annoyed with myself at myself for even writing this page..” I’m actually really glad you did. I can tend to be a bit academic in my approach to riding and even having the terms in mind and the slight differences in technique has had me overthinking the techniques while riding and second guessing what I should be doing. It was very helpful to know it’s not something I should be overthinking and subconsciously let the terrain naturally dictate the turn and technique. It might be a good to make a KZbin video this subject again as I’m sure I’m not the only one who has (would) benefitted from a more nuanced and focused approach to this subject. Once again thank you for the course and I’m looking forward to a couple of weeks in Morzine/Avoriaz next month to put the lessons in to practice! Have a great season Malcolm and enjoy Japan! 🏂

Omg new video from Master Moore!! Great to revisit the basics for carving as the snow season has now started

I love it, the focus on flat basing is the key. Everything comes from being able to do that properly.

Carving on ones heel side and be dangerous as you are turning into your blind area. Very important, as he mentions, to always be looking up the run and make sure the area you want to ride into will be clear. Carving is the best but it can take up a lot of room so, be careful and considerate of others on the run. enjoy and be safe

Great vid as always! Seems so simple and yet I still struggle with this for some reason. Be good to see a comparison with bad technique (eg what is effect of too much weight on one foot etc).
@malcolmmoore14 сағат бұрын
Thanks Dan, ultimately for simple set it and forget it carving like this weight distribution shouldn't really affect anything all that much, you can do it one footed too!

You are lucky to be able to ride at an area with such nice wide runs! Many places do not have runs like it. enjoy

Simple to follow instructions. I'm sure I'll still end up in a human pretzel whilst attempting. Damn skiers fault 😂😂😂

Always those pesky skiers!
@TheNonsenseAdventures14 сағат бұрын
@malcolmmoore 100% their fault, even if there are none on the runs. I heard skiers invented snowsharks to catch snowboard edges!

Great video as always! I struggle to stack my hips/weight over my toes when on my toe edge, either I bend my knees and begin to enter more of a squat or I have to really think about squeezing my glutes and I lose a sense of rhythm to my riding. Do you have any tips??

When I try carving on the heel edge it often happens that my front foot washes out. There's no heel drag from what I can tell. What am I doing wrong, any tips to correct this?
