As for the power button, there is a setting in Windows that allows u to choose how the power button behaves when the PC is on. In other words, u can set your power button to "do nothing" when its pressed so that your cat will never shut your PC down. They would still however, be able to turn it on.

I’ve been reading your articles on litter. I love the pine pellets. I get a 40lb bag of “equine wood pellets” from Tractor Supply, $6/bag, which lasts at least a month. The litter box is in my 10x12” bedroom/office, so it’s right there with me when he does his business. Yes, it smells for about two to five mins, but nothing after that. I am going to check out the Purina Hooded Litter Box on Chewy.

Yes! Pine litter is simply the best I think - sand was driving me wild in the small space. With a little bit of baking soda with the pellets help with the smell! Thanks for your comment.

Excellent video! I work from home now, in my bedroom. My set up is in front of my window. My cat likes to climb up behind my monitors to gaze out the front window. The side window, where I have a nightstand, also provides entertainment while I’m working. I keep a small heater in the room. He will curl up on my bed, near the warmth, and doze.

I added widow screen to all fans, it doesn't restrict air flow but catches a lot of cat hair. I also have an air purifier near my desk.

a quick fix for power buttons on top is to switch the power button with the reset button. or get a remote button for the power button

I have a cat tree and an extra chair by my computer but they still insist on jumping on the desk/tower. I've come to the conclusion that I need a "roof" on my tower which I will make from cardboard. Today was the last straw when one of my cats knocked the other one off and she fell on my hdmi cord and broke it. Hopefully just the cord, not the port...

May cat does shit like knocking plants over onto the keyboard. And even knocked a whole display I have of solid steel ornaments that seconds later showered my cat in a painful rain of steel. My gaming room/office is extremely small. Only 7 feet by 6 feet with a window so there isn't a whole lot of room for dedicated cat areas. It's a whole list of things he has done to himself over the years including jumping onto a red hot burner. I try to be persistent in keeping him in line but it seems as soon as you put another cat into the mix all that "training" goes out the window.

You said your cats are trained not to bite cables, was that a figure of speech or is there an actual way to teach them not to do it? Having to hide every single cable in the house is the bane of my existence (not to mention that one of my cats always tries to take a bite at corners of my laptop screen every time I have it open on my lap :/)

Hi! I understand the pain! What I mean is by "training" is that - while they're young - you just have to keep the cables out of the way. It doesn't mean to completely hide them or perfectly cable manage them. After a couple months, the cats should be able to ignore the cables for the most part and you can do your cables any way you want! It's just a bit painful for the first couple of months as you allow them to bite other things (kicker toys, matabi sticks)! Thanks for your comment!

I have a kitten that has a LOT of energy that loves to get into my gaming PC area or try to jump on my fiancee's lizard cage. When she is naughty I aim the nerf gun at her (which scares her away) or I throw her in the cat carrier. Would cat barriers by any chance work to keep away from my cords underneath my desk? Yeah that's was once a problem for me too. I actually used some really strong double sided sticky tape to stick the legs onto the monitor stand for a better grip. Or, if there was some place to tie the monitor stand with a cable tie, that's was also a good option.

Hi! Thanks for your comment! I think you might be thinking of declawing which I definitely do not do! Trimming your cats nails is like how humans trim our nails because it’s too long or uncomfortable! Keeps their nails from hurting each other and keeps your furniture and stuffs safe too!

I do not have a desk with a pull out drawer under it and I don't have that thing that you put your monitor on. I have a mechanical keyboard and it looks HERENDOUS 3 days after cleaning it due to cat hair and my keyboard is cable managed to the desk. Any other solutions regarding that?

@@tatert0tter347 No problem! I would just go with the simplest and cheapest thing! A nice large microfibre cloth to keep on top of it when you're not using it. Acts as a nice cover for dust and hair and you can wipe your keyboard off when you need to use it.

Hi! There are times when the cats do “fight” but not in a way that’s aggressive - male cats especially like to rough house sometime to establish hierarchy and dominance. At the end of the days, they all sleep together on the couch hahaha.
