I know. Been there. Nowhere else in the world has such an excessive monitoring system. China train system has all these security checks and passport requirements just for a train journey because the communist government uses them to monitor movement of people and prevent freedom of speech. The communist government is paranoid about having another Tiananmen Square protest (the last one ended in an estimated 10,000 deaths). The government simply doesn’t trust their own people.

On this topic, it is correct for the government to censor online speeches to some degree, directly or through regulations on online platforms. I am quite sure that, otherwise, Islamophobia sentiments could be amplified to a harmful degree by unknowing narrow-minded netizens or people with an agenda (e.g. to incite racial conflicts.)

As an atheist. I usually think that Muslims are not very friendly to women. No offense. In China, our founding leader said: "Women can hold up half the sky." He completely liberated Chinese women. Let him have the same power as men. After watching your video, I also realized that Muslim women can also be very confident and elegant.

@Michael G Thank you very much for your reply, I am also an atheist myself. My mother is also a member of the Communist Party. I am also a firm atheist. Chairman Mao once said: Man will conquer the sky. It means that human effort is more important than fate and the so-called gods. We also have a famous saying in ancient China: the way of gods and ghosts respect but stay away from him. I agree with you very much, and I am also happy that you have such an idea. Western media monopolize the world's right to speak. Most people don't have a good impression of our China. But as a Chinese, I know that I live a happy and free life. A lie is a lie after all. In another 20 years, the world will know that China is very prosperous and strong, and the Chinese people are proud of his motherland.
@yanglan96043 жыл бұрын
@Michael G In fact, the Chinese government does not interfere with missionaries, and the Chinese government supports religious freedom. But most Chinese people are influenced by Confucianism. Confucianism believes that people and their efforts are the most effective way to change the world. Therefore, the development of religion in China is not smooth.
