HOW TO CATCH A SWARM OF BEES: Capture and re-home a swarm of honey bees | OFF GRID BEE KEEPERS

We are a family living completely off grid in a woodland in Lincolnshire, UK. As part of our off-grid set up we have 6 bee hives. In this video I will catch a swarm from one of our existing hives and re-home it in an empty bee hive.

I love your videos. Not a critisms, why did you tip the bees outside the hive instead of direct into the hive? I'd love to have bees one day!

Thanks, glad you’re enjoying the videos 😊 We used to tip them straight into the hive but it’s difficult to get the bars back into the hive without crushing bees as they’re all over the place. Then we saw someone pour them onto a sheet and let them make their own way into the hive and it seemed a lot more peaceful 😊👍
