How bassinating to watch! That has to be one of the best instructional videos of using finesse baits because it directly links bait with tactic, to bass behavior in total view. It demonstrates; the ways you fish each rig, how you give each one a certain movement, how each bait reacts to those animations differently, and how well those animations trigger the bite-response, all in sequence. Worth repeated viewings. Thanks TB!

Is there really a difference in where/when you’d choose a shakeyhead vs. a Neko rig? They both seem to allow the plastic to float up with the weight at the bottom.

Interesting video Tim, this probably will works really nice on clean floors, but what about mushy and full of vegetation floors on lakes like here in Florida ? I lost so many tungsten weights, lead weights, underspin jigs and all king of lures with exposed hooks.

Awesome video. I never knew how Bass would grab and hold and then reposition the bait in their mouths like that. I'm with you. I could watch underwater footage all day long. I just learned three or four things in my own techniques which I must change to catch more fish. Slowing down is the first one. Make subtle movements and wait for the fish to strike. And I usually set the hook too early also. Thanks for this video! Subbed!
@lengyaj95794 жыл бұрын
I have never caught a bass with a drop shot rig. I’m not sure why I haven’t, I have seen people around my area be successful with it but me. I even fished the drop shot rig for 6 months and still no bite. I’m not sure what I’m doing wrong. I used 8lb power pro braid with a 6lb fluorocarbon leader line. But the ned rig, shakey head, and lipless crank baits are my go to baits during the winter.

I live in Colorado where my primary lake is a deep canyon lake, (up to 120ft) and and 5300 ft above sea level, rocky, fed by snow runoff. We don't have a lot of vegitaion, few bluegills and small shad. We have Bass, but their envronment is exremely different than in warm water states. The predominate species is Smallmout. The water is generally clear up to about 20 feet. There are coves, fed by intermintent streems that can be very procuctive during the spawn (here about 58 deg). For a deep cold water lake, what presentation would you reccomend?

I have a nice GLX I use for finesse stuff. Never thought the nice rod made that much of a difference until I started fishing the ned rig. Some of the bites are so subtle you'll surely miss them on less sensitive gear. Thanks for the vid @tacticalbassin
@hookedonbassncats2 жыл бұрын
I love smallmouth. But they seem to be smarter cause they don't hold onto the bait as long as largemouth in my experience. So your right you have to really pay attention and to use good finesse gear. Cool video
