That was an awesome black fin. I would have been yelling also lol. Those mullet were huge. Some of those would have went home. Mmmmm smoked mullet fish dip. I will be down at AMI in 2 weeks with my boat. Hoping for good weather.

For those that don't know...check the lateral line. If it's straight (almost) it's a spanish. If it has a pronounced dip about midway...a juvenile king. PS: I hope he was 24 inches!

That right there is a king mackerel. Spanish mackerel have solid black dorsal fins and their yellow spots are solid. Small king fish have transparent yellow spots

I’ve actually seen pontoon boats offshore fishing, I don’t think it’s the safest choice because if one of your pontoons damage it will likely sink, however with the right safety equipment on board you should be just fine!
