How to CATCH CRAPPIE in the fall FROM THE BANK - Ohio Pond Crappie Fishing Tips and Tricks

Today we venture to one of our favorite local ponds in search of crappie from the bank. It is amazing how a color change on your jig can turn the bite on! It's a bit windy in this video, but we manage to catch a mess of crappie from the bank.
We use a 2" Keitech Easy Shiner to catch a nice largemouth bass. The crappie weren't biting the Blue Ice Bobby Garland, so we switched to Devil's Grin, a red/chartreuse color, and the crappie bite turns on! Keep changing colors and the crappie will eventually get fired up!

Great video keep them coming entertaining and educational still using 6' 6" light action rod how would you rate a ugly stik gx2 same configuration

I have a GX2. I use it for big bass baits and catfish. I have 20 or 30 lb braid to 15 lb leader on it. The reels are okay but don't last long. The rods are strong but bulky and heavy. Good rod for the price but I'd rather spend twice as much for a combo 5x better.
