I love your enthusiasm while fishing when you catch a fish. I'm the same.. I have a smaller boat than you (16' Boston whaler CC). I think I'll be coming to Key Largo this season with it and try some patch reef fishing. Our place is in Naples and it's tough fishing here. Had an offshore 24', but sold it a couple of years ago. Trying more inshore fishing, but once I saw the patches and what you're catching there,.I'm excited. Disadvantage is the almost 3 hour drive. But I'm looking forward to it. Hope I run into you on the water and say hello one day. Great videos. George

Just a quick cooking tip. I come from a family that owns a fleet of fishing boats and several seafood restaurants. Lightly toss the fish cubes in yellow mustard first. Them, dust them in pancake mix immediately before you fry them. Use .5 inches to .75 inches of oil in the pan. Do not put too much in at one time. KEEP THE OIL HOT. This work for all pink or white flaky fish. This recipe has made a lot of money. Try it. Let me know what you think.

Angel Hair is a very short cook. IMO, skip the tomato sauce, to heavy for angel hair. Try EVOO, diced fresh tomato with minced garlic and Italian Herbs.Toss in the Angel Hair and top with your fish chunks with panko and parmesan. Yum!... What, no Glock to crack stone crab claws? Too much noodles, not enough water. That's where the problem is, which is why the noodles in the middle are all clumped up together. Starch Monsters can be rough to cook when cooking other things, or distracted since again, they're loaded with starch, making them both incredibly sticky when overcooked, and easy to burn as well. Simple things can sometimes quickly become some of the most difficult haha. The fish looks stellar as always. Also, did you just update your boat, and repair that engine? Seems like you spent two weeks on it and you documented a bit of it on your instagram page.

Guys when fishing the patches you need to stay away from casting onto the reef patches, youre always going to lose your fish, You guys literally anchored right on top of the reef.
@SouthFloridaFishingChannel4 жыл бұрын
I jumped in and swam around. Anchor was in a sand patch. They are all over. My anchor grips best in sand anyways, it's the plow
@mannyrodriguez54534 жыл бұрын
@@SouthFloridaFishingChannel I know that it good be a bit difficult to anchor on sand but try to saty away from having to cast on top of the reef patches, and look for a spot where there' more sand and the shum will lure in the fish closer to you. I fished all those patches, my parents used to have a home in tavernier back in the late 60's until they sold in 1985, when we wanted to fish the patches we looked for more depth in the 40's feet, you can find larger fish, try fishing before sunrise and one hour befor sun set, you will be a happy camper, I've been seeing your videos and i've been itching to fish the area again. have you tried fishing in the winter the surroundings of Rodriguez Key and i can't recall the other key thats north of it, Muttons are always in the shallows surrounding the small islands especially in the winter but you need to fish it early morning with no wind. Good luck.
