This is a last minute patch reef fishing trip and I'm going fishing alone on my boat. That's right it's solo fishing on the South Florida Fishing Channel... A fan favorite! And I'm not giving up until it's a catch and cook episode.
When patch reef fishing between key largo, islamorada and marathon I am targeting mutton snapper and any other snapper that wants to be a guest on the south florida fishing channel. Gotta love some good ole Florida keys patch reef fishing

I love catching snapper on the patch reefs. There's also lots of sharks, grunts, stingrays and all sorts of yummy creatures you can catch fishing off the reef here in the Florida Keys. I hope you learned a little something about how to patch reef fish in Florida from this video

You should look into brining your baits with salt. You can even do it with frozen bait. Brining the bait makes it a lot tougher. Best bait to do it with is squid. You can do it for sword baits or just patch reef baits. Great vid and tight lines

Heiko the way you fileted that mangrove snapper is how my dad taught me to filet salmon and steelhead. Cut down to the spine and follow it and the rib cage down to the tail leaving the skin attached at the end of the tail then skinning it.

Mr. Winkler, best bait for Mutton is goggle eye. Slightly crushed head is their favorite part. Don't forget the chum bag tied 3-6 feet above anchor. Depending on the depth of where you're fishing. Happy fishing. Really enjoy watching & admire where you live. Florida Keys was my back yard for almost 40yrs.

Always fish 2 rods. One on top, one on the bottom. Get yourself a meat grinder & make your own chum. Alot more economical. Happy fishing.

Time for a bang stick for the shark. One smack, and it's lights out. There's no way in hell I'm gaffing a shark and dragging it into the boat while it's still flopping around. I don't have a wish to be bitten doing something stupid. I'm not one to use braided line. IMO, it's not abrasion resistant enough. I purchase large spools of Ande Back Country, and Hi-Seas Quattro in various weights, but 15 pound is the lightest I use with the exception of my fly rod tippets. I still want fish for bone fish using a fly rod. I've done tarpon and they're a lot of fun. Good to see the boat fuel issues are resolved. Elliot is doing what Dad allows him to do. I've got 4 cats, and none of them get on the kitchen counter. Try some fly paper in spots where he gets up most of the time. Cats hate for their paws to get sticky.

So algos pulled up a video of you taking a father and his two sons out fishing… it was 4 years ago. I think you should take families out fishing more. #1 it made u happy and can tell in the video. #2 the variety will help increase viewer count. Its two birds one stone, in what your trying to accomplish, and also will take u back to some roots. You will need to do them every so often to maintain viewers interested in fishing the keys, or those looking forward to fishing with you. I would stick to families tho as the kids seemed very happy in the video i watched and thats much more worth it, but also open to those that make u feel better to bring out there. It will also make u weigh out pros and cons in life. I think this will help you!
