Thanks for the fond memories. Spent many days, sunrise to sunset, oystering in Apalachicola Bay back 40 plus years ago. Those were some great looking oysters.

Great video! My Uncle used to make those tongs and we sold them at the tackle shop here in Pensacola. My Uncle and Dad and their Cousins would oyster in Escambia Bay before pollution killed the beds. I would occasionally go with them but I was just too light in the butt to hang with them. Good Lord they would get the oysters! This was in the mid 60's, I was 14 or so and those tongs just killed me. They were tonging in deeper water than ya'll were in.

One of my favorites brotha...I grew up oystering. That was my family's life since the 1920's. Heron bay is where I cut my teeth. Anybody who knows heron bay knows the Lyons family. Great stuff buddy!
