Even though statewide bag limit on skipjack is 100, it's totally unnecessary to keep any more than 10 for fishing blue catfish, flatheads and stripers. They prefer the fish to be fresh. You won't use more than 10 skipjack singlehandedly on a fishing trip, so unless you're saving them vacuum-sealed in the freezer, it's really a waste to keep more than 10.

For the average person, I'd say 10 is good. I regularly go through 20 on some striper or catfish trips.
