How to catch Squid-easy method for great results.

On a squid catching mission on Lake Macquarie in the holiday season. I run through the techniques i use an some colours i find good. Plenty caught hopefully if your struggling to get any this helps. Happy holidays see you on the water.

Nice session mate. Just sat down to watch this after a trip squidding at Pt Riley. Our power went out today so shot across for a squid. 3 good size, 2 med and 2 small... now the missus has some squid to test out her new air fryer.

Squid are going off at the moment my mate and i ended up with 40 of them at bobbin head last week. Top bait and a great feed. Happy new year bro.

I drift Reg. Had 2 weeks off weathers not great so couldnt go as much as i wanted. An anywhere from toronto to down past murrays is good squidding 👍

Not a bad squid session mate. About 6months ago anchored in the one spot I got a couple on vibe and grabbed squid jigs out and ended up pulled 22 varying in size but was my first crack at it and my boat and eski looked like I'd been in a battle with them I had ink everywhere. A mate told me to have a bucket of water there to throw them in first to let them ink themselves out. I noticed you were just putting them straight in the eski. Were you letting them ink out in the water or did they still make a mess that i couldn't see?

Thanks chris, was a good session. Bit windy so i had to move to a less productive area but still managed a good amount. I just put them in the esky with some water and ice bricks and every now and then then do a water change. Yes it makes a mess in the esky at first but 2 water changes an all clean and fresh.

Cheers mate happy new year to you aswell. These are makos but i prefer costas. I will definitely be getting another pair of those again. Much more scratch resistant than the makos but at the time these were all i could afford 🤣

I didnt say it was an arrow squid bro. I said it was a nice size bait squid. To be honest i dont look at them too closely in the lake. When i chase green eyes i go to the bay in winter. There absolutely massive there at times. Pull drag on the light gear 🤣 good eye but if it is a calamari 👍
