How to Catch Squirrels and Chipmunks - The "ChipMUNKinator" Product Review

This is a great product for the removal of unwanted chipmunks and squirrels.

This trap works great. Four squirrels first day. Up to 32 trapped now. Use bird seed with sunflower. Put a piece of plywood under it or they will dig under it. Two bricks on top also helps.

I like dividing the trap’s cost by the number of squirrels + chipmunks caught to justify the price of the trap!

Squirrelinator works great. I use sunflower seeds. Bought it with the plastic bin- a wise move. Happy to be catching these awful rodents!

What kind of bait??? I used the sqirrelnator for a while until the chipmunks went in and out through the holes in the cage and stole the bait. Found chewed up peanut shells outside the cage hidden under things. Now I will buy this trap.

The chipmunks can’t escape the chipmunkinator trap. I have seen them escape standard havahart traps. We use dry corn (cracked or whole) and chicken food to catch them. As the trap ages and rusts, make sure the door flaps slip up and down freely or the rodents can pry them up (where the door will stick open and they’ll escape).

What are you using for bait?

I used cracked corn and chicken food (pellets). I think the corn attracted squirrels and the chicken pellets attracted chipmunks.

Got the chipmunkinator. Didn’t have any luck with oatmeal and my homemade granola. I’ll stop by the Farm Supply and get some chicken feed and corn.

I have only caught one chipmunk so far this year here in NJ.

@@fixthishouse3303 I bought hamster and gerbil food. The chipmunk has been near it, but so far hasn’t tried it. I may have to eat it myself.

Not enough meat on a chipmunk. We catch more overnight vs by day. Good idea buying Hampshire food!

@@fixthishouse3303 I thought at least the hamster food would be great with yogurt. On a side note, chipmunk nuggets may go over well when I have friends over. I can bbq anything.

@@johnclark6571 lol, I’ve actually eaten squirrel (tastes like chicken), but chipmunks are definitely too small to be worth the effort.😀
