Yeah that wind up there is something for sure at times. Next video I got stuck in a storm with high winds on Crowley but ended up getting into a real good bite. You just never know up there sometimes 🤷🏼♂️

Great video with baits, rods, and tutorials, Rob. My friends and I were at Mammoth Lakes a week ago, and George, Mary, Mamie, and even Convict all got stocked but small. Fun fishing and kept some decent ones.🎣👍

Yeah I was stoked to get that one. That was one of the toughest sierra trips Ive had in years. The trout just weren’t having it no matter where we went or what we did haha. Im thinking it was the weather as it was hot one day and cold the next, oh and the high winds didn’t help either but still had a blast tryin to get em 🤘

Really appreciate all the work put in to educate people on catching in our area. Your videos very helpful. Good job and please keep it up. I would like to make a small suggestion for jigging ultralight rods. I think you should recommend 7’ ultralight rods because seven and a half foot and 8 foot ultralight rods are hard to find unless someone can afford a custom rod. Tight lines
@SeaSpankerOutdoors2 ай бұрын
I appreciate the comment and if all you have is a 7’ rod, by all means give it a shot. But if you’re looking to purchase a rod with your hard earned money I dont want to recommend a length that I don’t personally stand behind or believe in. I just looked online and FISH USA has the Daiwa Presso in stock in 7’6” and 8’ www.fishusa.com/Daiwa-Presso-UltraLight-Spinning-Rods/

Do you have any vendors for you products? Any timely tips for a west slope trip in El Dorado or Amador Counties? going to make it happen Saturday. Not sure what lake yet. I have heard good things about Stumpy Meadows, only tried fishing there from shore once before.

You said something about a "clip." To tie the jig. What kind of clip?
@SeaSpankerOutdoorsАй бұрын
Its a fly fishing clip size L. It allows you to switch jigs very quickly and doesn’t affect the action. Here is the link Dr.Fish 100 Pack Fly Fishing Snap... www.amazon.com/dp/B0BW3T11HZ?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share

How do you know to switch spots or switch colors of jigs if you’re not getting bites? I feel like that’s what i always struggle with
@SeaSpankerOutdoors2 ай бұрын
Its not anything I know its more of an educated guess if that makes sense. I dont use a specific color when I start at a lake. I just try one and see what happens. If nothing, i switch colors a few times and presentation speeds and if still nothing ill move to another spot. I just continue that process until I get bit and if I don’t Ill move onto another lake. Biggest thing especially in the sierra is dont get stuck at one spot if the fish aren’t biting. Usually ill hit several lakes in one day trying to find bitters

how can someone like me use the goldfisg lures when you out of stock all the time, i know made them myself! a hollow tube dye maker from TEMU, no need to pay/ 16.99 for 4 EACH, FOR THAT PRICE I CAN MAKE 100 UNITS. COMES WITH THE ALUM. DYE MAKER AND THE 16 DIFFERENT COLORS FOR THE TUBE MATERIAL. SO I BOUGHT 3 TUBE MAKERS AND 100.00 OF SOLUTION

I think there may be a bit of confusion. I dont own Golden State Fishing Im just a ProStaffer for the company and really love their products. I just checked the website and all the jigs are in stock and cost $5 for 6 jigs. If you want to make your own jigs I think thats awesome. I haven’t done it myself but I bet there’s alot of satisfaction catching a fish on a jig that you designed and made yourself 🤘
