It’s quality isn’t it lee 👌 even the 5lb line has crazy power to it, I use a 6lb maxima fleuro leader at the end, the spinners get stuck in the rocks on the riverbed the whole time and no problem pulling them out 👏🎣

@@senanstanleyfishing Yeah got a nice fish further up the river last night mate with me got another the same 10-11" but on light gear you think it's a monster lots of follows and hits after that but good sport 🤣 they smash the mepps alright, gold and blue is a personal fav too

That’s what it’s all about 100% the 10-11inch ones on the river just go ballistic in the current and feel like proper tanks 😅👍 great craic! Looking forward to getting back on the lake all the same, hopefully the weather improves soon and the wind relaxes a bit 🎣

Great little rod that bought one a few months ago. I sometimes go out in the river's in Clare spinning for trout. Have great fun in the spate river's around west Clare with the blue spotted silver mepps. I've that same rod as you. I am going spinning for scad and mackerel around June onwards when the sea is glassy and calm. The scad put up a great scrap. One memorable evening last year I had a porbeagle, blue or tope picking them off as I reeled them in. I'd have a fish on, then you can feel the lunge and I got the lures back, but nothing else on the hook apart from a bit of mouth. I'll bring the heavier tackle this year on standby or try big spoons with a light beachcaster if it happens again 🤣

No way that’s incredible. We’re you using the 0.5-5 gram rod for spinning in the sea?? I’m hoping to do some sea fishing down the Clare coast myself this year. I Tried a few places last year for wrasse and pollock along the burren but struggled to find anything, it’s a beautiful area. We camp on the burren every summer since I was a child, such a cool place !

Stick at it bud, the more time you put in, the luckier you will get. The more time you spend at the water with the lure in the water the more fish you will meet, it’s just a matter of time and commitment 👌🎣

Very nice man,only the odd river is fly only around here, I couldn’t name any of the rivers from the videos just to protect them I’m sure you can understand bud, if I named these spots there would be a lot of new people hammering a tiny stretch, also we need to hide these little gems from poachers . ☺️ that’s the main reason I never say where I am. Most KZbinrs are the same with this. It’s best to protect these places.
