Brilliant, a fabulous simple idea - why didn't I think of that 😁

Excellent idea colour coding the clips to hold pieces and rows. It is so easy to get your pieces in the wrong order.

Love this organizational tip! I use a design board, but your clip method gives the best, foolproof tip. I’m going to do both together in hopes of not getting anything twisted. Always love your tutorials!

Thanks for this video, it's very helpful to stay organized with this system. Love your tutorials. If possible, could you do a tutorial on reading a pattern and staying organized at the beginning of a new pattern? I find myself doubting what I'm doing, cutting extra fabric because I'm not sure of cutting enough for the pattern, or, cutting the wrong size. Organizational tips would be wonderful.

Thanks Kim, for another helpful video! I enjoy your instructions. I’m also a Janome M7 owner! It’s a magnificent machine!! And just wanted to tell you how fantastic your hair looks! I’ve been thinking about letting my “natural” highlights take over too ☺️

A great idea. I also like the tip to use a dot of paint, especially since all my clips are the same colour. I suppose that I could colour code with my coloured pins and handle carefully. 😉

Good idea. I use flower pins and write the row number on the pins with a fine sharpie. Numbers can be removed with alcohol. I am glad to see you sewing on a Janome. I have the 8200 QCP SE. could you do some videos on this machine? There are very few in depth videos on this machine. Sometimes I think I am just having to figure out things by myself.

Great idea with the flower pins! Unfortunately I don't have a Janome 8200 (my first Janome was an 8900 that has since gone on to another home) so I'm not able to do videos on this machine. You'll see videos on the 9400, 9450 and M7 and the odd one on the 500E embroidery machine.

Great tip, but I only have 1 color clips!

I might be the only person in the quilting world who finds the pieces joined together by a connecting thread highly annoying. It drives me nuts! I chain sew but I need to clip apart each block/square. The set of colored clips is a great idea though.

I also usually clip my threads. It's great to hold things together but I find it tough to line up well when I'm sewing rows together
