Corvettes with the Z51 option have a dry sump oiling system. The lines that lead to the dry sump are in the way of the cabin air filter access plate. You have to disconnect those lines before you can remove the plastic piece that the clips hold in.

Good to know! Do they just have to be moved out of the way or fully disconnected? I assume because that's a high point you don't need the oil drained to disconnect them?

@@TheSundaeDrive They have to be disconnected, but it is a simple two minute job. Also, no, you don't have to drain any oil. The oil is not an issue as long as the car is not running. Finally, there are no special tools to disconnect and reconnect them.

The Z06 has the dry sump lines that you have to disconnect as well.

I gotta ask a stupid question. How would I know what filters fit? I have a C7 Z06 and mine is one of (if not the only) C7 Z06 in my country, so parts for this car isn’t readily available. I’m wondering if I can replace it with an aftermarket one. Maybe a HEPA or Charcoal filter.

Aftermarket should be fine. If you can, use a VPN and look in rock auto for compatible filers and then find in your country.
