God bless this man for his attention to detail, taking the time to include helpful pointers such as the flanges on the bottom side of the filter. I may have skipped right over that. Thank you!

Thanks for the helpful video. I'm going to leave off those frustrating screws, assuming the two side latches on the door are secure enough on my vehicle.

How often do this need replaced?
@PYR-Auto4 ай бұрын
in general it is recommended to replace cabin filters every 15k miles or about once a year - but I usually just go off of how they look

@PYR-Auto2 жыл бұрын
That can very depending on the brand of filter

Hello, any idea why 2018 gmc elevation is having engine power reduce and no power and acceleration??
@PYR-Auto3 жыл бұрын
Not sure but it shouldn't have anything to do with the cabin air filter

Could u drop a link to where I can buy the tool to unscrew the filter cabinet?
@PYR-Auto2 жыл бұрын
I actually don't have a link but almost anywhere that sells tools should have those

What’s the name of the filter or how can I know which one to buy ,so they can fit in there.
@PYR-Auto3 жыл бұрын
There are many different brands of filters and they each use their own part numbers. Any place that sells filters should be able to look up which one you need but the year, make and model of your vehicle.

@programyourremote @Pyr that's not really helpful information considering you made DIY video, most of your views would be being online, not going to a brick and mortar. 🤦🏻♀️

EXCEPT...that there can be 2 screws (7/32" head) that must be removed to open the door. Not shown in this video, but at :52 in, you can see holes - left and right - where someone removed the screws previously. The hatch door will not open without removing these screws. My experience 6-4-24

Thank you. The Texas gramma can do this. Nice video. NOW….. have you ever experienced rats taking small snails on the engine an like storing them. My air started smelling of dead fish. Open hood an there around oil cap many snail shells AND roach legs…I know it’s gross. Vacuumed all up, cleaned the area. saw feet prints in the dust on engine. See no wire damage. I took pictures. Sprinkled peppermint oil cotton balls which I hear they don’t like. I sprayed vent with Odor be gone for few days. Just now stopped smelling. I will change filter now also. Have you seen this????? Texas gramma wondering. 4/22
@PYR-Auto2 жыл бұрын
You're Welcome! I can't say I have ever seen that before. It can be fairly common for mice to build nests in the air vents though
